No. People worship the almighty dollar more than humanity.

Redeeming itself from what, exactly?

Yes, anything with "it was done in the name of science" means you are redeemed...
-
Yes they do, and those redeeming qualities are things our collective conscious came up with. “Bad”, “good” those are concepts we made up. “Morals” those don’t exist either! So basically what I’m trying to say is that humans have great imaginations

We can understand anime

We’re pretty good at setting things on fire.

Edited by CommonBlueberry: 3/4/2021 10:45:48 PMDepends; does humanity need to be redeemed?

Education comes to mind.

We can poo and pee and that’s enough

We have mustaches
twirls stache
Everything that seems like one is also a curse in a way. Basically we imagine things and then we make or do them just because we can. It doesn’t always work. Sometimes it gets us to the moon, sometimes it instills terrible ideas about the nature of existence into us and we use those ideas to dictate how to treat others.

Humor.....hmmmm..... Redeeming quality........!!!!!!!! We can go extinct

Edited by kellygreen45: 3/4/2021 3:10:17 PMMany. The problem is that we are biologically programmed to pay more attention to things that are negative or potential threats....than we are to the good things. IOW, go through your day....and a thousand people can be nice to you....and their niceness will fade into the background. But if one person is an asshole to you, or does soemthing that frustrates you....you're going get mad, and you're going to remember it because the emotions make the memories stronger and longer lasting. In the wild, that is adaptive. But in the context of civilization its kind of counter-productive and creates as many problems for us as it solves. ("The inability to forget is far more debilitating than the inability to remember....") Most people are basically decent, and just want to go through their lives and be left alone. The problem is that about 1 person in every 30? That isn't good enough...and they are very good at making trouble for everyone else.

The potential to change

Yes, just one. We are loved. That is reason enough for our redemption.
-
We're not evil, we're just, well, misunderstood.
-
Of course we do.
