If it has the same amount of free roam as BoTW, I’ll probably enjoy it. I’ve heard some people complain that it doesn’t hold up with the pre-established lore of the Sinnoh region, but I wouldn’t know. Moral of the story is, I’m gonna buy it and play it.
Idk if anyone’s already made a post relating to the newly announced Pokémon games, and I don’t feel like scrolling down for 59 years to find out.
looks....bad. is it a mobile game?

I really want to buy it, and the Pokemon Diamond remake as well that is releasing this year

Edited by Swiftlock: 3/5/2021 7:28:25 PMNot enough info. The footage we've seen is clearly a proof-of-concept rather than a polished product. It even uses assets from BotW. Plus, if the Sword/Shield 'Dexit' incident is anything to go off of, there's going to be some sort of catch to this. Gonna wait for more news.

If it has open world coop then I may buy it.

It looks ambitious. So ambitious that I'm waiting for the catch. There's no way I'm Hell that this game is gonna come out in 2022, and live up the hype, especially when you take into consideration that Gamefreak have never built anything on BOTW's scale before.

Art style looks a little cheap in my opinion, but if it’s good then I’m all for it. Hopefully it has all the Pokémon in it or at least mega evolutions. I’ll probably get it after the reviews come out though just to be safe

I’m still waiting for a black/white remake

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 3/4/2021 9:54:57 PMI think this will be about as close to the type of Pokémon game I’ve always wanted as it will ever get, so I’m excited. I’m just curious how big the dex will be.

I gotta disagree with Aifos here. I am actually really curious to see an integration of open world concepts into a Pokemon entry. A lot of the enjoyment of Pokemon comes from the collection aspect, when you get that perfectly natured Gible for example, you just feel so good! Building that team and being able to travel around with them is always a pleasure. Out of all of Nintendo's franchises to get Open World games, Pokemon seems to be one of the most fitting, at least for me.

I’ll probably give it a shot, but I don’t think I’ll enjoy it too much. Catching Pokémon doesn’t look like it takes place in battle, but if that’s the case, what’s the point of battling? There’s only one town in the whole game it sounds like, which probably means a big open world with a lot of boring empty space. Still, if they want to make an open world spinoff series, I’m all for it—as long as that means the main series gets to stay as is. We’ll get Legends to sate the open world junkies, and Gen IX will stay a linear RPG, as it should. If Gen IX goes open world, too, though, then I will be very upset.
