Cheating in PvP
I mean it's been said a million times. But do you guys not understand that cheating is OUT OF CONTROL in PvP. No amount of fixing the pvp will mean diddly squat unless you fix cheating. How can you not understand this.
I have one more Legend rank to go for Unbroken and this season has been THE WORST of all I've done. Cheating is completely out of control. Out of 6 games, I have played with blatant (not even hiding it) cheaters in 4 of them. And it was at least 1 or two people cheating on the other team. And I'm supposed to get to 5500 with this cesspool of human trash?
And on top of it, a lot of these people have 11k+ Triumph score!!! Let that freakin' sink in. 11,000+ triumph score. That means they've been cheating for a LONG time and you did NOTHING. Are you kidding me?
How is this fun? Am I supposed to play crucible like this? I can assure you I will not and people will realize soon enough that playing a game where people with mental issues or sadistic tendencies make an idiot out of you is simply not worth it. And you are planning on doing Crossplay?!!? Are you kidding me?
Fix your god damn game and before ANYTHING else you do. Deal with cheating FIRST then you can add and improve PvP loot or whatever. Seriously.
I've been playing Destiny since Alpha, it's disgusting and honestly insulting. I came back to play Destiny 2 after a break before Beyond Light, and I can assure you, people like me who you've been making money of off from the start, will and should completely move on.
Your arrogance and lack of any effort to fix this tells me and honestly everyone else that you have no intention of doing anything about it except constantly giving lip service. I've stopped playing the game today again because it's literally pointless. There is no fun to be had for anyone who wants to play legit and enjoy PvP.
And to give you a hint, the reason people don't enjoy and don't like PvP is the SAME. Cheating. When a casual person goes into PvP and gets absolutely stomped on by cheaters and not just good players, they lose any desire to play PvP. I am beyond average PvP player and I'm sick and tired of it, I can't even imagine why they would want to play.
Until you stop doing PR stunts by "suing" cheat makers and address cheating with a proper anti-cheat and banning PEOPLE using cheats by HARDWARE and make it very expensive for them to even think about cheating PvP will always be garbage. But we all know why you have no intention of fixing it. Cheaters spend money too right? As always it's all about greed, so please spare us the righteous "we take cheating seriously" horsesh*t. At least have the spine and balls to come out and say we can't/don't want to fix it and we can only try to mitigate it. This way you save all of us time and frustration who actually want to play PvP to make a decision whether or not we want to at all deal with it.

1 ReplyCheating is now extremely widespread, and seems to go largely unpunished as even on-stream cheater accounts stay active for weeks, even months. On the contrary, I've seen zero inactive accounts from the most blatant and public cases within the last month or so. Latest videos from known cheat busters show the extent of what's available, and the game clients clearly accept anything and everything, whether the information has any sanity to it whatsoever. Infinite ammo, no-clip, teleporting, everything goes. The only reasonable conclusion is that there is no builtin anti-cheat, and next to no resources are on allocation to ban cheaters manually.

It has all gotten out of hand for sure. There is a youtube video showing a guy using aimbot for consoles, you can easily find it by searching. It even has premade settings for games with premade aimbot settings for a particular weapon. And this combined with low ping players abusing the system on console too is surely getting out of hand. I see players disappear and reappear, behind wall kills is real on console too, seen too many times now. However they are probably standing beside me but I didn't see them and when confirmed kill I see them on the other side of the wall, lovely times for sure.

2 RepliesI tell everyone who asks me about getting this game there is no anti cheat and there’s more hackers than GTA. Just to deter them from the anger. It’s utter bullshit there’s no third party anti cheat or dedicated servers for a so called AAA company.

A cheater in a video from 9 months ago is still playing with a minimum of 280 reports filed against them. Why bungie refuses to do anything blows my mind.

It really is. Since this new season started too, on console, it’s never been more laggy. Haven’t played pvp in such a long time and couldn’t belt the amount of lag, teleporting etc. I wonder big cross play is being currently tested on the DL. Besides, I can totally sympathize now with the pvp community over their gripes, Bc Crucible could seriously use some big time QOL changes.

3 Repliesfeels like bungo does not care about cheaters at all. Last season i recorded some of my crucible games and got couple of video evidences of cheating (and i mead not just suspicious lucky headshots with a handgun across the map, but absolutely obvious cheating where people kill you through walls, run around with 4-5x speed and shoot with unlimited heavy ammo), uploaded them to youtube and reported those people to bungie with the link to the video evidence. Today i checked the view counters of those videos: still 0 views after 2-3 months. They are not even checking the reports. I once reported cheating directly to steam and this particular video has 2 views and couple of days later i had a message like "thans for reporting, we took care of this" when logging into destiny. I'm not sure tho, if this partiucular player was banned or it was just a coincidence. I guess, its better to report to steam instead of bungie.

The cheating got way out of hand when they gave the game away for free. The cheaters came out of the woodwork because there is no real consequence of getting banned. If they would have had paid for the game in the first place then they would think twice about cheating. Now if they get banned they can just start another account and download the game again without paying for it. And you are right if they go to cross play it will get 10 times worse. I think they are so overwhelmed by the cheaters they can't keep up. A good way to fix it is not allow the free to play people access to pvp.

3 RepliesSo, I switch back from PC to xbox for trials. My question is, how is there so many people that had a season 10 or 11 trials kd of a .9 to a 1.2 now have a 3-4.5 KD all of a sudden? Looking at there comp kd and they are 1.0. Is there a way to cheat on console???

1 ReplyThe silence on this issue has been deafening. Just accept they don't care enough to address it. Do crucible for your pinnacle and move on. Trials is an afterthought. The fact they put a sword in the new loot pool was a slap in the face. Cheating can never be 100% solved but under Bungie it's not even being approached. Prove me wrong. How often do cheaters get banned on the spot? Not enough to make a difference.

I dont even bother with Crucible, and I noticed the massive amount of lag switching in Gambit.( its pretty easy since suddenly enemies blink to a new position and the opposing team suddenly has 80 motes in the first 45 seconds of the match) It sucks the fun out

You can even set up Mouse Keyboard for console if your used to that control scheme, you just have to get used to the change in recoil and aim assist that console has. But you can set up cross save so that way you can play on a console with your same character on PC (factoring in you have another console) Its not the greatest option ever as dealing with the spineless hackers would be the best option, but it would give you a break from getting slammed against one wall of all the streamers and elitists on one end and then cheaters and hackers on the other. All in all I can tell your just very frustrated and downright enraged when you wrote this, just take a step back man, take a deep breath and relax. If you got a console boot that up with cross save and go to town. Its all I can say that would help the greatest atm to my limited capacity lol. But alot of the accusations you made a pretty braizen or thrown out their. I could say the same thing about The Messanger and how it can randomly 1 burst kill sometimes and then take 5 or 4 bursts to put me down. There are alot of cheaters on PC, but Bungie has shown unwillingness to deal with the issue outside of trying to get money for themselves by sueing the creators of the hacks. Right now your probably on your own if you play PC. Another good bet would be to group up in a full squad of friends or play freelance for less chance of hackers as alot of them seem to be attracted to any playlist that may contain a full stack or streamers. Go take a break man, relax and if you can and want to edit your post a bit.
