No we already know SUNSETTING SUCKS and been said throughout the season and by many posters .......
The real issue.
BUFF the sleeper simulant. It’s exotic, it’s catalyst was WORK and an actual grind. BUFF the sleeper and it was the original Warmind cell gun. Buff it’s damage on bosses or give it a boss dps boost or Warmind cells?
Mini nuke animation on the solo explosions for Warmind cells generated by the sleeper?!??!
Intrinsic boss spec for boss dps or head shots on bosses?
BUFF THAT SLEEPER and get those wooooockets weady.

1 ReplyAfter playing Gambit and getting buzzed by EoT every time I even tried to counter an invader, I came to realize they don't really care about Gambit balance anymore. So why keep Sleeper nerfed? Just stepping out into the open with it and firing a charged shot is a death sentence against EoT. Maybe you get lucky and kill them too, but that's not guaranteed.

Are the ricochet beams still bugged to do like 2% of the original beam damage? Sleeper bounce rounds (5x @ 33% of original beam damage) SHOULD absolutely murder Taniks.

Bungie be like: we heard you want a buff to Sleeper Simulant and we plan to deliver. So in response, we’ll be needing Pocket Infinity again to bring it in line with Telesto.

1 ReplyFound an old replay I kept from D1 the other day... I was fighting the Psion Flayers, charged a sleeper shot and hit one then moved behind a box, charged another shot and moved back slightly too quick, ricocheted *perfectly* off the corner of a box back into my face for the kill. God I miss those shenanigans and I miss having a reason to use that thing, especially since I got the catalyst just before the raid lairs and whisper mission got sunset... if they'd just make it usable again I'd actually be inclined to go get those 500 god damn kills with it.

A side note both sleeper and outbreak should spawn warmind cells with sleeper being a guaranteed cell

1 ReplyI actually would love to see sleeper buffed. Give it a 15 or 20% damage buff and increase its charge rate ever so slightly so it can go toe to toe with slugs and snipers. While on the topic of linear fusions, the rest should be demoted to special slots. However, the only thing that is very dangerous with putting them in the special slot is that it would plague crucible. They are much easier to use for long range sniping than actual snipers. So perhaps leave them in the heavy slot but give them a damage buff as well.

If you truly play D2, the time stamp/expiration date a.k.a. "infusion caps" in your guns and gear did not show up this season. The infusion caps started last season before Beyond Lite launched. I have used Sleeper a lot this season, it's good, not OP but good. Some sort of improved interaction with warmind mods would have been nice but at some point that stuff is destined to be sunset so doubt it will happen.

5 RepliesAlot of people already crunched the numbers on rockets (DOT) with charged of light and the ordiance mod on top of the buff..... Swords even with the 15% nerf will still be more viable and xenophage. Sooooooooooo.... no I will still not be getting my wakets weady!

It once was great, it got nerfed. R.i.p. forever it sleeps. Fallen s.a.b.e.r was the original way to obtain sleeper. Now would be the time to bring it back, that they are recycling the strike.
