time to sunset this game soon and find another game.
i think this game is reaching its sunset limits. pointless investing time in getting cool loot only to be eventually useless...

1 ReplyI am betting on Outriders no PVP no life service is a very good start, and lots of customisation out of the box, with 4 classes & big talent tree each. It's third person but that seems to work(judging from vids). Another contender might be Plan 8, fps mmo I just fear it's going to be free to play with p2w.

5 RepliesDestiny is or was my favourite game by a country mile. Yesterday I purchased Division 2 I’m hoping that Bungie fixes Stasis in PVP and the sunsetting issue. If they don’t I will leave Destiny for good.

For whatever reasons, Bungie seems to no longer be an efficient or capable organization. For the first time ever, I am seriously thinking about not purchasing the next few seasons. I may just play seasons for free and then only buy major expansions. The FOMO is not worth grinding over the same content and regrinding for gear I already have. Many, many issues Bungie needs to work out. Love the game, I hope things improve. I have never not purchased an expansion or season from the beginning of D1 all the way through D2. Sadly, that is likely to change.

The moment we free ourselves from the hamster wheel Bungie created is when we see how many great games we have to play that are actually fun, rewarding and with zero frustration involved. Since then I felt zero wish to return to Destiny because... what's the point anyway? Not saying I will never play Destiny again, after all I played this game non stop since 2014 and I do like this game gunplay, but my involvement with the game will be different, shorter and controlled by me, not by Bungie. I won't chase their illusive carrots anymore (and the game is filled with them).

3 RepliesYou aren't the only one. Sunsetting has failed so far. Trials has failed. Adept weapons lol if you call them that has failed. Communites are upsets. Streamers are leaving. Players are fed up. That is the majority. Sadly.

I For one am Utterly disgusted by sunsetting and I personally Can’t wait until Bungie admits and flips that sunsetting was just misunderstood but due to backlash they will undo sunsetting, blah blah like K BUt eNouGh Is Enough for me.

Right now I can barely get through three Gambit matches just for a pinnacle item that MIGHT drop 1 light level higher, infact... I think I actually done one gambit match and got bored. There was content before the sunset calamity and now i just find myself coming on hoping for something to do but then end up going onto another game lol

Good for you my man. Outriders is looking pretty promising as of now. Let's see how the demo in february goes, maybe then we'll have a game with devs not focused no milking it's playerbase to the extreme.

Yeah I have no confidence in this group. It was a great run but it is over. just built a new character in Borderlands 3 and I’m enjoying it. I also downloaded Rainbow Six. I went to game pass as I’m now looking for new games.

8 Replies1) handful of very old and boring strikes complimented by annoying immune boss phases. 2) a hybrid morose gambit mode, less maps. 3) 3 weapons pvp sublimated by some telesto, arbalest and the likes fusions on few maps, not a single new one. 4) a raid lair in a beautiful setting but disappointing format. 5) the worse GM selection possible, with Bungie not even able to take accountability for timer “issue” 6) depressing artefact and worse than ever weapon choice in the face of sunsetting. Play as you want is a myth. 7) barely nothing to grind for in any activity. 8) future content limited to recycled weapons and activities. $80 for a white desert and a new subclass, a few lost sectors and reset titles. And the show will go on.

Destiny's idea of mixing mediocre loot based PvP with mediocre loot based PvE in an fps was cool in concept but it's failing fast. If you split your gaming into games that are individually stellar PvP games and individually stellar PvE games and just go between depending on what you're feeling you will have way more fun. Personally I just bought dark souls 1 and 2 and have been having a lot of fun with them and whenever I feel like PvP I really enjoy modern warfare and CSGO. Way better than just playing destiny all day. I still get on and play a bit but destiny alone is not satisfying at all anymore.

I still have faith they will fix the majority of the problems, however it's probably going to take quite a long time for them to fix it. We probably will never be back to the level it was at in Forsaken/Opulence though. They aren't spending as much in development of D2 anymore. I think they are planning on Destiny to end in three years and that will be it. Matter will be their new main IP.

...and what’s the alternative? Keep playing until you die of old age? You do realise you’ll stop playing at some point right? We all will. Hopefully most will leave with dignity.
