psstt hey i have more lore questions

i gots a few more questions that the lore junkies can answer so here it goes! 1. canonically, how many times has our guardian died? i know in the last call quest after cayde’s fight scene, ghost says “welcome back” and that we fell a few stories, so there’s one. any others? 2. do guardians grow hair? in the dark future lore book it mentions zavala having a beard, and in the titan hunt armor lore the titan has a beard he grew during the red war, but both of these were in situations where they didn’t have the light. so do guardians not have to cut their hair/shave because it never grows or what? 3. in a few different lore entries it talks about guardians dying hours later in some situations. did their ghosts not want to heal them? like, why let your guardian die a slow death if you can heal them during that time instead of waiting for them to die so you can revive? is there an explanation as to why they didn’t? 4. how exactly were the scorn made? in uldren’s lore book it said he like... cried on a fallen? and i guess that... turned him into a scorn? are you telling me the scorn were made from uldren’s tears? cuz if so i find that hilarious. 5. are there more civilians than guardians or the other way around? what’s the ratio of civilians to guardians? and last but certainly not least... WHERE. THE HELL. IS FENCHURCH??? where did he go? ok that’s it. thanks in advance!
scorn when they see uldren: father me, an intellectual: scorn daddy
The canon is that we don’t die in situations where we’d be absolutely screwed (like deep in the Hellmouth and stuff).
2. do guardians grow hair? in the dark future lore book it mentions zavala having a beard, and in the titan hunt armor lore the titan has a beard he grew during the red war, but both of these were in situations where they didn’t have the light. so do guardians not have to cut their hair/shave because it never grows or what?
Yes, they grow hair normally. Guardian bodies work exactly the same as regular people’s bodies.
3. in a few different lore entries it talks about guardians dying hours later in some situations. did their ghosts not want to heal them? like, why let your guardian die a slow death if you can heal them during that time instead of waiting for them to die so you can revive? is there an explanation as to why they didn’t?
In some cases Ghosts can’t effectively heal their Guardian, depending on what’s afflicting them. For example, radiation and the vacuum of space are real trouble. Revival heals far more effectively. You may be remembering the Drifter dying of starvation and scorpion poison. That’s because he hated being healed by his Ghost and demanded that it didn’t. So it let him die then revived him.
4. how exactly were the scorn made? in uldren’s lore book it said he like... cried on a fallen? and i guess that... turned him into a scorn? are you telling me the scorn were made from uldren’s tears? cuz if so i find that hilarious.
Riven, the Taken Ahamkara, was manipulating Uldren. Uldren found Fikrul dying (after being shot by Cayde) and wished to save Fikrul. Riven granted the wish, infusing Fikrul’s Ether with Darkness and giving it crazy revival powers with her Ahamkara magic. And so Fikrul became the first Scorn and source of Corrupted Ether. His Ether turns other Eliksni into Scorn.
5. are there more civilians than guardians or the other way around? what’s the ratio of civilians to guardians?
More civilians. We still don’t know the ratio, especially because Bungie is very vague but generous with the number of Guardians. Take a look down at the City, the vast majority of people living in it are not Guardians. But there’s still at least thousands of Guardians, apparently.
and last but certainly not least... WHERE. THE HELL. IS FENCHURCH??? where did he go?
He’s one of the Hidden. He’s out scouting and gathering intel all the time.
