For example, radiation and the vacuum of space are real trouble. Revival heals far more effectively. You may be remembering the Drifter dying of starvation and scorpion poison. That’s because he hated being healed by his Ghost and demanded that it didn’t. So it let him die then revived him. Uldren found Fikrul dying (after being shot by Cayde) and wished to save Fikrul. Riven granted the wish, infusing Fikrul’s Ether with Darkness and giving it crazy revival powers with her Ahamkara magic. And so Fikrul became the first Scorn and source of Corrupted Ether.
