lately i was having bad online experience when i play destiny, due lagging issues, it got noticeable after beyond light expansion and next gen launch, i have noticed this issue before but i never paid that much of attention.
almost every time i play crucible or gambit i get some angry messages saying i'm hacking or lagging, which is true (the lag part) but they were lagging on my side too.
at first i wondered why are they sending me these messages in english, italian and german when i live in a country that doesn't speak any of it, so i replayed back to some of them asking where they live, i was surprised that i got matched with europian and american lobbies.
after a while i got frustrated then decided to play only for my pinnacles, usually i leave extremely lagging matches if i don't get kicked from some error (except for mayhem because usually no one cares about their k/d).
as usual i checked my internet settings (download and upload speed, ping, open ports, DMZ, NAT, DNS, wires ... etc) and everything seemed fine for my 50 Mbps fibre optic line, i usually play battlefield (server based online game) and never got any issues.
anyway few weeks ago i got my destiny account restricted from crucible and gambit, so i done a basic research and found out that i can't know for sure why i got the restriction, i can only guess.
so my restriction is based on poor connection and/or frequent quitting/removal, there is a third reason but it doesn't apply on me because i didn't play on my pc this expansion.
i connected support via this page https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=48629 with my basic feedback, but never got an answer for my restriction reason.
i was almost sure this ban will be lifted because i did nothing wrong, little i knew it never happened.
so i asked my friend if i can borrow his modem called Netduma, it has good reviews for gaming settings but all i wanted is to show where my lobby is based on.
i played last week 3 crucible matches and 3 gambit matches, and the same goes to this week, and recorded the modem page that shows the lobby location, it showed that i got matched with europe and north america and south america.
i want to link my match link but i'm not sure if i could because of the privacy issues, but here are the modem's page that shows lobby location:

i'm wondering why would a CBMM game throws me to different continents? even SBMM shouldn't do that.
i wanted to use one of this modem features and lock my search on local players but i'm afraid it might get me another ban.
i'm really confused right now, am i testing this wrong? is this some sort of global networking issue that my country has? is it from destiny search criteria? i have no idea.
if there is something i can do to provide more information please let me know.
also if someone got this type of restriction what did happen next? did you get perma ban? i'm afraid of the consequences for my D1 vanilla account, i might leave crucible all together if there is a risk.
thanks for reading and sorry for my english.

Nice post! I'm in same situation - good net, not cheater but now ban for two months. I don't understand Bungie. I'm so disappointment. I hope they will give you good answer for this. Greetings!
