Sunsetting Now Shows The Core Issues With D2

Sunsetting has brought to light some glaring issues that tbh have just became even bigger in issue. Sunsetting makes grinding end game content irrelevant when its got a cap from 12 months from its "release or re-issued date" why even farm high stat rolls for end game content, your literally farming one piece of equipment to use in another activity that offers timed loot. this is just lazy and the lowest artificial grind loop I think ive seen in any game, even anthem had a better gear targeting system than this crap :D Why is difficult for you to introduce a system similar to The Division with GS? GS should imo effect the quality of drops, not the date they expire because "you cba creating relevant gear" so you find the need to sunset the "older relevant shit" and bring in re-issued crap instead with "new perk pools" I wouldnt even mind, the current gear system in D2 is pathetic. you have no meaningful stats other than Discipline and Recovery, why do we not have "passive stats" at base intervals like 30/60/90 points respective in those stats, this would at least make gear farming viable and give more diversity in the gear that people farm, why not give armour sets "different" passive traits so each set is unique to the other. god forbid you actually have to develop something meaningful for your players to chase lol. Why is difficult to introduce targeted loot based on the destination? you know like having DC/TS/SK loot pool drop from "those sources, on some weekly rotational activity" you know, maybe bring the Umbral engram system into DC & TC activities with the Spider and Petra vendors? Sunsetting utterly removes any need to masterwork armour, to farm high stat rolls because your time is wasted lol, looking at you "high base stat rolls from Hunts" :D D2 is in some major need of QoL changes, we need better end game activities. I genuinely feel sorry for the casual players who legit only have NF Adept to farm for what? I feel sorry for anyone who has bought SK/DC DLC to find out they got robbed of the entire loot pool being useless. I feel sorry for any devs that are told "work on new gear" for it to be vaulted in 12 months time and potentially never seen again. Seriously, take a look at your player count on steam charts lol, your down almost 50%+ in players at this time when compared to Shadowkeep+Season when more people are at home, nearly every other game during the pandemic has seen player increase yet you managed a decrease of over 50% :D, I get your not able to "produce" new content on the go bungie but -blam!- me, I'de be fine if you at least allowed gear to stay relevant and meaningful. Imagine paying for the 4 seasons and you get 3 golf balls per season (12 total) and to find out your not going to use them because its worthless and has zero meaning other than 10 power and 12+ stats across the board. woooppie, guess ill farm another set in 12 months time when its relevant again. What is going to stop me from not "changing my armour or weapons" now they have an expiration date, might as well make use of it while it lasts as I cba using anything else because its all going away in 12 months respective to its release.
