You guys as a development team have deemed sunsetting weapons the best course of action for the game and future sandboxes. Some people may not like it, but you guys made the decision to move forward with that, and for me personally, I can respect that. Now as a person that logs in regularly, I have picked up several legendary weapons, some of which are absolute GOD ROLLS 😇, that I thoroughly enjoyed using in endgame content, like nightfalls and raids. Austringer, Duke Mk. 44, Twlight Oath, Drang, Hammerhead. These are just some of my personal favorites. The fact that I can't use them in high level gameplay is a little frustrating lol. BUT, I think I know of a way to reach a middle ground! -Sidenote- this idea may have already been mentioned or posted on these forums. If so, feel free to tag or post the original post. Ok, so what if we adopt the exotic cipher method, plus the materials needed for changing the affinity on armor pieces and combine the two...does that make sense? But only apply it to NON-SEASONAL, legendary weapons. So for example, if I wanted increase the powercap of my God Roll Austringer, to the current seasons powercap, I have to pick up a LEGENDARY cipher from the gunsmith and use 1 Upgrade Module + 25 Legendary Shards + 3 Enhancement Cores + 3 Enhancement Prisms + 1 Ascendant Shard + 50,000 Glimmer...to increase the power level. That's how much it costs to change the affinity of masterworked armor, so that's it may seem a little pricey lol. And for the sake of balancing, put a cap on it. Maybe you can only do this for 2 weapons a season. Thoughts? I think this would be provide players (moreso, veteran players) even more incentive to play and grind out content and farm materials. And I know people will disagree, that's okay. I want to hear your thoughts! What NON-PINNACLE weapon would you want to upgrade? For me, it's a toss up between Austringer and Hammerhead
