Iron Banner really highlights connection issues in PvP
As a solo player, jumping between the regular and freelance IB queues really shows how much of an effect playing against a geographically diverse team has on the gameplay. In freelance queue things are pretty smooth, but if you jump over to the regular queue it takes a nosedive. Hit registration goes out the window, hitching and warping, delayed kills that take twice the shots to kill, etc.
Nothing new here, you can see the same thing in control or whatever; but with one queue matched by teams and one matched by connection/geography it really creates a stark contrast.
Assuming bungie isn't really interested in the server/matchmaking techniques available for dealing with this, I think it at least makes a good case for freelance queues on all playlists.
