A Better Trials Structure

Ok so hold onto your butts as I may get carried away typing. I think, and always have, thought that trials could do with a system similar to games such as Siege Ranked. Have your first card of the week be in the general pool and depending on how you do, you get given a rank (have them the same as ELO - Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond - or however many are needed per the player base size). You matchmake within your rank but each rank comes with its own rewards to discourage people purposely tanking cards for easy games. Lower ranking means worse rewards (low stat armour, smaller weapon perk pool, rarer chance at god rolls/masterworks, etc). Likewise make it so 3, 5, 7 wins drop at lower tier power the lower your bracket. You go flawless? You get bumped straight up a bracket. Same with matchmaking, it should always go upwards. Game can't find someone at your wins on your rank? It goes a win or 2 lower in the next tier to matchmake to equal things out. This would stop 30 minute matchmaking for high tiers or low player counts. Overall it keeps numbers high because players of all skill levels can go in and get SOMETHING and feel like they've earned it. It's not a handout 3 win like the current bounty is. It might not be the gear but it's earned honestly. Think "This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine". I feel a system like this keeps everyone happy, lets everyone who puts enough time and effort in get to the lighthouse, even if it is the bronze lighthouse. Then if Bungie want to keep things like adept weapons or titles at the top of the pile just have it so they only drop in the higher tiers and triumphs have a requirement of (Reach the Lighthouse - Gold Tier or Higher) to keep the sweats happy. Using a system like this keeps sweats happy as they can match each other all day long, keeps the average player happy as they bounce around the mid-tiers and gives the non-PVP or new players accessibility into the trials world whilst being able to come away with something. Currently there is no reason to "git gud" as the average person is going to hit the stacked sweat streamer teams that play PVP 15 hours a day at 6/7 wins every time. Kills the enjoyment. Please share thoughts, super interested to hear others takes.
