I've Never, Ever Loved a Raid as Much as the Deep Stone Crypt

Alright. I had to make this post at some point. I have to let it out. This one is for you, Bungie. I know the raid isn't perfect and some people have their nitpicks about it here and there, but I love it. I could actually play the raid just for the real fun of it instead of wanting to chase after some loot. I've never wanted to do that with any other raids in any Destiny. The closest to that was Crown of Sorrow. I'm also thankful for being with the teams that I've ran the raid with who've helped make this a memorable experience. I consider myself lucky to have been able to enjoy my first few runs of the raid with patient and respectful players as we learned it together. If you are someone who doesn't mind spoilers about the raid and want to keep reading, the rest of the post is listed in the spoiler below.
I think the raid's difficulty mainly comes from the learning rather than the executing. Experience-wise, I've only completed the raid about 3 times and I've already learned all of the roles with the augments and such. I know not everyone will agree, but it seems that way to me. Me and a friend with one of our LFG groups a couple of days ago made it to Taniks and the Descent encounter and without forming any proper teams while I was trying to teach my friend there about some things with the roles, we accidentally started the encounter early. There were deaths, but somehow we beat it first try. A few experienced people and some call-outs was all that it took to make that happen. That was pretty good for an LFG experience. Now does that mean that the raid is too easy? Well, I don't think so. I think it's acceptable for a raid. The final encounter can still be difficult for a bit of players, but it is definitely a lot easier when you are higher in Power. That much I can say. I don't mind that Taniks came back again. If he's going to be the Fallen's undying vengeance and we have to fight him again and again, I am fine with it. I think I'd enjoy shutting him down another few times. If this is truly where he ends, then I also think that it's a fine moment in the story to move on from him. Let his story end here if you want. And somehow the space segment after Atraks-1 is still hitting me right in the feels. No content in Destiny or any game at all has ever made me feel like that. The atmosphere in that entire sequence is so unique and beautiful that it can actually make me cry. That might sound really cheesy to say about something in a video game, but just thinking about it is making me emotional, I'm serious. The music that plays, the sound of the combat against the Fallen drowned out by space, the Crypt AI and his speech about the universe and humanity during all of that... I could never have thought of something as breathtaking as that. I can't find the words to describe it. What you made here is just that special. I still want to run it again. I could keep doing it just for that moment. Thank you for this rare and wonderful experience, Bungie. Even in rough times, I still and think I will always love this game. Thank you and stay safe. And sorry if this post got too cheesy.
