Okay I've thought this for awhile (since D1) but does anyone else think the armor selection sucks?
By this, I don't mean necessarily the art (tho sometimes I find blue armor more visually appealing than legendaries and exotics) but I'm talking accessories like why can't my warlock wear a "dr strange like" cape? or mark? Or even have things just float around them?
Why cant my titan look good with a cape or have different accessories like a bullet belt?
why cant my hunter have a bond with throwing knives?
One of the best things that was initially advertised before D1's release was that you could wear any armor and that didn't pan out.
I even have the idea that you can equip the look of several different exotic pieces of armor like ornaments but only have a single exotic perk active
or hell equip all exotic armor pieces but only have an exotic armor "mod/per" active at a time that would cost 0 it would not only allow the game to go into further advancement but also more customization

I however am disappointed with the art compared to D1 era work anyway While D1 armor wasn't as detailed as D2 the base artwork and shape of armors were better imo. I want the badass heavy warlock cloaks back. Outside of exotics D2 has more or less been full of torn rags and fancy dresses Alot of Titan armor looks like it was dug out the salvage bin And hunters for the most part look like wannabe bikers or carnivale attendees. Miss the design passion from the D1 team. They pulled of heavily animated armor and chroma for D1 where is it in D2? I'd like for Bungie to flesh out the rpg aspect of the game a little more diversity an both builds and visuals would go a long way.

The titan armor with the one shoulder plate piece and fur lining along the armor. I want that aesthetic back. Edit: The coolest Titan helmet in D2 is the one you get for doing the Mars events but it’s impossible to get now. Which ducking sucks because Bungie doesn’t know how to not -blam!- over their own code.

Yes, that has been a frequent complaint for the last 3 1/2 years. It will help some when they enable transmog in a few months or weeks.

3 RepliesTitan's shoulders are super massive and ugly which sucks when I have a girl and all the armour makes her look part man. Warlock most of the time just has ugly dresses. Hunter I don't mind.

My warlock has looked the same since the winter heart sets! I use nothing else as most makes the warlock like look a vagrant or totally non symmetrical.

They had defined pretty clear aesthetics to differentiate the three classes early on. I’m not sure where you’re pulling that “wear any armor” stuff from.

Bungie has been struggling since its beginning to fix the basic problems of the game, they simply are not skilled enough to add the detail you are looking for. You will have to look at games from a more experienced gaming studio for the level of gaming detail and depth you are looking for.

Yeah, it sucks bad. I was a Hunter in D1 and those Scion capes....nothing like it in D2. I am a Titan now and dispair looking at crappy Titan armor....with a few exceptions.

I just miss the godly armor looks and designs back in D1 like the Taken King Kings Fall raid armor and the rare armor pieces from strikes in D1

15 RepliesI thought somebody from them said - "Making content is hard." Somebody from them also said - "Throw your effing money at the screen!" Same guy who said that was also sleeping while other people are playing his character and leveling it up in a similar game before this. Now he's in-charge of making games for them. So yeah, that's Bungie Logic!

I think with your examples that’ll change the class silhouettes way too much. It’s important for PvP and for new players that the classes are easily distinguishable.

1 ReplyBecause if everything is special, nothing is special. Sometimes the world has to tell us "No" to protect us from our own worst instincts. Just like parents need to tell kids that that they can't eat all their Halloween candy in one sitting. ...and Bungie didn't tell us that we could wear any armor. They told us that they wanted our armor to tell a story about our character. What he or she had done, and what he or she had accomplished in the game. The only armor problem with Destiny 2 is that Bungie doesn't change teh styles of armor often enough. The armor in D1 wasn't better. It just CHANGED more often. So if there was an armor style you didn't like....you didn't get stuck looking at it and wearing it every day for 2 years.

Yeah armor sucks, I literally am having the hardest time making a simple look for my warlock ended up using the tex mechanical Rob from everse for my warlock and going for a long trench coat cowboy look but it's hard to get thing sto match cause certain armor sets don't work the same as others with shades. Like I'm using Skele-ghaul and some armor it makes have a gold shine to it others it isn't shiny and some it doesn't even have the color it's dumb

Not just armor customization but cac too because I had trouble designing a nice looking character with the very small amount of customization choices.
