Bungie I absolutely love the system you introduced with stasis. Please continue to add further traits, aspects and fragments to it and please change the old subclasses to this system. I feel that I have new control over the customization of my characters that I haven’t felt since D1.
Edit: also for those of you who would love to see this happen (for example weighted knives on blade barrage, devour with nova warp, or shield bash with banner shield) please like the post to get bungies attention.
Edit2: wow got way more support than expected thanks everyone, and for all of you who would want the D1 subclass system back while I agree we should be happy we got this even. On a side note check out my opinion on Xur and how at least 1 season every year should be a loot season.

The D1 system was far superior IMO. Much more customization and noticeable variance between builds of the same subclass. The stasis tree doesn't even come close. Shame.
-
Let’s polish this turd! Oh wait, it’s still shit! Never mind
-
This guy must live in Oregon where every drug is legal
-
The only thing really different at this point is the fragments, everything else is the same just with a different ui
-
Meh, it's ok but I much prefer the D1 ability builds we had. Whatever they do though... the frigging grind needs to be cut down by about 75%! It's beyond irritating
-
As a pinnacle level/top tier/high ranking professional gamer I fervently agree.
PS I’m a wayfarer and D1 pre alpha vet
-
Love the system but hate they way they are obtained.
-
It’s good but still not as good as D1. I wish we had more aspects and melee/super perks. Kinda like in D1 when we were able to choose different perks for our super, melee, and 2 other general perks (basically aspects). Hopefully they let us customize melee/super options soon. When you hover over the Stasis melee it shows a bunch of empty slots.
-
Excuse my ignorance, as I’ve only just come back last week playing Destiny, I stopped playing for a while.. Is Stasis locked behind the BL expansion? I was a bit dubious about pre-ordering and was waiting for the reviews first..

Edited by NinjaBadgerBurn: 12/3/2020 2:55:04 PMIn reality it's not changed all that much. The super, jumps, melee, grenade and class ability just have a different layout. Aspects replace the inherent abilities baked in to the light subclasses, once (if) these are expanded upon it will be a different story. The fragments are just light mods. Whilst nice, it's a very small change in reality currently. Again until the list of fragments are expanded upon this is just potential for the future and that is good I agree.

Hunter has no options, just 2 perks to choose out of 6, and the same 3 grenades as other subclasses, and the usual Hunter jumps.
-
Yep I like the concept, but it is seriously lacking depth. I run a hunter class and find the melee and super to be underwhelming. The super is lame and kills nothing really just slows them and freezes them. The melee misses more times than hits. The nades are awesome thou. Glacier grenade with shatterdive is like a mini super and that kills lots of things burst damage. I use this more than my super and hardly use my weapons at all. No need to, they are all dead after the nade barrage... lol
-
It's good, but it's half-baked. Why just Stasis when there are clearly a lot of light subclasses that need serious help? Especially Voidwalkers/Stormcallers. There's just no point to using them over Dawnblade/Stasis now.
-
I both agree and disagree. I enjoy the customization, but the aspects, and especially the fragments, just feel underwhelming. With the light subclasses, despite being premade, the different trees feel truly unique, offering interesting ability loops and cycles that actually feel like they alter how you play. For example, void warlocks devourer or Titans retrievablethrowing hammer makes me actually think about how im playing. The titans throwing hammer gets to where im solely focused on bonking every enemy possible, almost ignoring my guns entirely. The stasis fragments; dont get me wrong, they definitely improve my abilities in a noticable manner. But they’re so plain and generic. “Freeze lasts a little longer” “Shattering enemies boosts my guns a bit” Helpful no doubt, but just extremely straight forward and lacking creativity. Just my 2 cents. I like the customization, but Id LOVE for that customization to actually change how I approach combat depending on my choices
-
The titan aspects could’ve been better like shattering crystals should also speed up your recovery whenever you take damage an give you a overshield not a full one nor half but like a small bar then when you get the kill i guess you get a half bar. It’ll work great with using the titan melee ability which is ass tbh don’t even know why it uses melee energy in the first place.
-
Your opinion, however... it could of been better. The fact that you have to unlock other abilities behind quest lines is boring. Quest lines are however the usual kill 5 captains, harvest planetary materials, 10 crucible matches, etc. literally, all you have to do is copy and paste D1’s subclass customization... it was way more diverse and not bland like now.
-
Does anyone know if doing the fragment quests from Exo give you everything if you already have six fragments?
-
Really wish fully upgrading Stasis ONCE would unlock on all characters. I am not looking forward to opening up my other two with the SAME missions.
-
I’d love it a lot more if Revenant wasn’t one of the worst subclasses in the game. Thank god for mask of bakris, or else I would NEVER use it.

I actually play for the fun of it. - old
I am loving it also. It is the first thing in ages that feels brand new. It even has that new murderous tendencies smell. But if Bungie picks up on this thread I would like to ask that the menu option for stasis be changed to be like the other classes. It is odd to have to equip it to set it up for a quick change over during an event. Upon equiping it to make sure its set how you like and then flicking back to your current class it takes away all charges. I know I should not need to "set it up" mid fight but I have needed to a few times now and regreted it. I hope the way I wrote this made sense cause its hard to explain right. Thanks Edit: Could you please add stasis to elimental capacitor also? It is a good mod but useless right now since I am in stasis most of the time. -
It’s cool. But a total grind for the damn aspects. Way too lengthy.
-
blindly complacent and settling for the minimum ppl need to see the original system in d1 lmao
-
I just hope they do something similar for light subclasses later down the line. I would really enjoy more control over what my subclass has equipped besides just choosing an ability tree.
-
I liked the D1 system better. Unlocking supers via quests should not belong to playable content. In D1 you levelled that up naturally by playing the game. And i would like to see invis/blink back on my hunter. But thats just a personal wish
-
It’s returned build-crafting to the game.

Personally, for titans, I wish we had more control over the super, more directional control than just having random ice blocks pop up where ever. Also, IMO the Shiver strike we should have more directional control without the proximity. It's kind of like snipers that take you off your target. If I'm aiming for something that means I want to hit that target, not the closest thing to me. Other than that for Titans, because I haven't used the other yet, it's okay.
