a SMALL review of Destiny 2

Destiny 2: A train-wreck of a game. I've been playing destiny for many years now, i had it back in D1 before The Dark Below was released. That game was going places, the DLC making up for more continuation of various story counterparts, the PvP was in its prime back them but that's enough about the better game. I jumped on the destiny bandwagon back when it was free as a title on PS PLUS. I put many hours into the base game (Red War) and found myself enjoying the game, then came the release of expansions packs 1 and 2 (Warmind and Osiris), first of all the price was around $35 a pack but they were semi-worth their money, allowing you to go to planets that you were able to in the first game. The game was still ok at this point. Here comes the third expansion pack, Forsaken, a $80 pack with a whole new campaign and locations, the absolute best thing to have happened to the game with new exotics, PvP modes and more. Although this locked most people out of the ending due to the cost of the pack. It only gets worse from this point. I stopped playing since the Shadowkeep expansion because it started to cost a lot more, somewhat $60 for this expansion but i never bought into it and found out i was missing out on a lot of content. Thank you developers for making the game pay to win ever since forsaken. Now talking about deterioration, the New Light update was when then the game -blam!-ed itself. All of your progress was wiped at this point, all your grind was gone, you were set to 1000 light and left with only your wits and you stash that survived in the vault and whatever was on your character. This was the same time Black Armory was released and it was yet another pay wall. Mind you the New Light update allowed you to cross your data to Steam and the game went free. Remember all of that money you had spent on the game, well say good buy to it and no, you are not reimbursed for it either. They merged the first 2 expansions to the base game, that's around $60 wasted, Forsaken and Shadowkeep had to be repurchased, that was around $120. All of your main progress and levels, POOF!, your ranks, POOF!, a bunch of PvP, Locations, PvE and events, POOF!. As the time progressed from the New Light update, the hardcore fan-base were locked once again behind a paywall, this time they released their newest DLC, Beyond Light, say goodbye to pretty much everything Destiny 2 was, say goodbye to your enjoyment and your money, some of the better weapons locked in a season pass, other pieces of gear being constantly nerfed. The whole game went to shit. Bungie has hurt the die-hard fans emotionally and economically without reimbursing them for sticking around this long and also having had bought the base game, the expansions packs and possibly some silver along the way. Overall, Beyond Light is the WORST thing to have happened to the game and now Bungie must suffer its own consequence. A lot of people have started the game have found themselves lost and struggling to start out due to these imbalances and the fact that Bungie is not listening to their community. In my opinion if you are going to make a game free, PUT EVERYTHING ELSE AS FREE! don't -blam!-ing make it a pay to win game and lock players out of sections because they do not have that one little detail that you changed in your code to allow them in once it has been bought. Final Thoughts: Destiny was a good series, the first game became highly toxic and has since really not changed one bit. Destiny 2 was a good game, the first 3 DLCs were fine to play, anything that has happened since the end of Forsaken was a waste of time. The developers from Bungie are -blam!-heads and should actually listen to their community and if someone were to make a game free, then don't put DLC in a FREE game. -2/10 NEVER playing again
