Rework Polaris Lance to make it more like No Time to Explain
Bungie you guys should give Polaris Lance’s Perfect Fifth perk a rework. Polaris Lance and NTTE are basically the same concept just slightly different and with Scouts already being weak as it is there is basically no reason to use Polaris over the much better NTTE. The rework could go down like...
1. Allow Perfect Fifth stacks to build on precision hits and hits against burning enemies.
2. Allow stacks to be retained until death.
3. At 4 stacks load the explosive shot and allow it to be held until used or death.
Polaris Lance and No Time to Explain are practically sister weapons belonging to actual sisters. Let them be the sister weapons they were meant to be.

11 RepliesPolaris Lance is better then NTTE in my opinion. Here's why. Let's look at pve first. It's good for ad clear. You get dragonfly which is a great perk. You also have the ability quickly put your special round on a diffeent target and mess it up. The zen moment and already great stability is good for landing crit after crit on a target at range. Sometimes with NTTE you can miss a bullet in the burst, Polaris only fires one round so its easier to land. For PVP There's a certain learning curve when it comes to 150s. You have got to learn how to get that 3 tap off and how to do it well. I would recommend you master a 150 in pve and land crit after crit and learn how it feels and get conformable with it. If you can master that it will reward you greatly. A .8 ttk is really good. Polaris Lance is easily the best feeling 150 in the game, even over jade rabbit. If you get a good range this thing will eat a pulse rifle in two. My issue with NTTE is it feels inconsistent at times. The full auto throws me off. I used NTTE and it has a great ttk of .67 but it just didn't feel right. I would still use base redrix over it. NTTE is great in pve, but it's a mid range wepaon. I wouldn't reccomend it for long range on controller.

6 RepliesIt’s good the burn works with the dawn chorus helmet. Sad that solar grenade burn doesn’t trigger the perk or stuff like two tailed fox burn ect ect doesn’t trigger it.

2 RepliesI uh, am pretty sure all those “reworks” you asked for are already part of the gun? I dont think burning targets add perfect fifth. You can def stow the weapon though and still have the perk

I want this. Once my PoLC gets sunset at the end of this season, I’m probably gonna make Polaris my main exotic primary. [spoiler]I got the catalyst all done too, so all it needs now is either the rework or a scout buff and it’s all good to go![/spoiler]

However, are you aware that the Aim Assist got buffed by +15? This goes for all scouts though. If the PL was to get better IMO, it would have to be Highlighting Targets & Handling +15. I'm only saying this because I have the PL Master worked with Dragonfly as well as Perfect 5th. I reckon that if the hitbox and handling buff coincided with Highlighting targets, the dang thing will be insane! Just like it's crazy sister..... EDIT : Ana was adopted though.........
