Akain, Adam and Eve walked out of the Ketch's secret entrance and into the open, cold, fresh air hitting there face's, the mental and physical exhaustion falling away from them in a instant. Viola was standing there, speaking to someone over the radio. The lively courtyard which had been full of enemy activity now silent, the Ketch abandoned, the massive spider walker tank gone, the hanger empty, not a another soul in sight. Akain, I'll take her home and make sure she rests somewhere nice, somewhere the Traveler can watch her day and night. I can't help anymore, without my light, I would put myself in danger... I'm afraid to die. Adam said his voice beginning to sound ashamed. Adam, you will always be my best friend, don't blame yourself for her death and most of all, you will never be useless. There are so many people at home that depend on you, you still have so much to offer them. Akain said to him but he just didn't know what to say to help. Thanks Akain, be safe. He heard Adams ship approach overhead and it dived, next second Adam and Yuri had transmatted onto the ship, it sped away into the dark horizon. Viola came over to them her call finished. Air support and other Guardians are on there way but they won't be intercepting the Colossal Walker for a while, we have been told to return to the Tower and report about the Rogue Guardian. Viola gave the command out, like she was Zavala. No. Akain spoke with anger. I will not go back, I will not stop until I destroy this Colossal Walker, I will not stop until I see this Xivu Arath's head at my feet, I will not stop until I rip out the heart of Savathun herself. He spoke with a burning fury in his heart, his eye alight with malice and revenge. Viola physically took one step back away from, the look on Akain's face had intimidated her. I will not disobey direct orders from the Vanguard, there will be consequences if you walk this path and I will not follow you and neither will Eve. Viola stated as though it was fact. I never said anything like that, I'm going with Akain. Eve said back, her tone saying that there was no point in arguing. Viola's rage could be seen on her face. Fine, if you both want to die a pointless death, I will not stop you. But I will not join you. Viola said turning on her heel and walking away from them, less than a minute later they seen her ship dive from the sky and jet off to the horizon like Adam's ship. Akain and Eve stood there for a few seconds, silence between them. Akain was about to say thank you when Eve cut him off. My ship will be arriving in a moment, get ready to transmat. Akain prepared himself and a few seconds later he was taken aboard Eve's ship. There was very little space for the two of them standing but they both took seats in the ships cockpit. The ship had was dark but it looked like Eve slept and made her home here, purple drapes hung on the dark metal walls of the ship. Eve took a hold of the ship and began to manually drive it, she started to speak to him. I wasn't chosen to be the Fireteam leader for no reason, the Queen ordered me to make contact with you, only Ikora knows about it my true purpose. The Guardian that killed your friend was a agent of Savathun, sent to hunt me down, unluckily he followed you three instead of me into the Ketch or he planned to kill you all then me and Viola. He would have killed you all, if it wasn't for your friends, we may have lost a chance, maybe the only chance we have to kill the Witch Queen. Why me? I've always just been a quiet person, the only thing I'm known for now is my disagreements with the Vanguard and the amount of failed missions I have been apart of. Akain sputtered out surprised by the suddenness of all this. That's is a few reasons why the Queen has had her eye on you, you can ask the Queen herself if we survive this. I'm just a servant under her, she knows how we are going to get out of this mess. Eve spoke as though all her faith was in the Queen. She continued, do you know that most Guardians that disagree with the Vanguard are either with dark groups of people or practise things that are widely disproved by the Vanguard? But there is a small chance that they might have the right idea sometimes. Osiris, of the best Warlocks was banished from the Tower for similar reason, but he had the right idea of it. I think you do to. You don't even what I have done... Akain started but Eve cut him off. What? That you helped form the House of Light, that you set up alliances with loyal Fallen and Cabal forces that want to share the Last City, that you think we are all in this together to fight common enemies. Eve said looking at him. How do you know this, this was kept secret and I was banned to talk about this in public or be thrown out of the Last City? Akain asked in shock that she knew so much hidden knowledge. Eve didn't reply, just sat there quietly. Akain asked another question. So why are you coming with me? Well your actually coming with me, it's my ship. Eve replied. Oh yeah, sorry. I mean, why do you want to risk your life? Akain asked again. The Queen needs the Last City and the Guardians in it, without it we have no chance, now gear up with some better weapons, I have plenty in the ship's storage, we have to catch up to the tank, so we won't be there for a while. Eve said with finality. Hours passed, following the path the Tank went was slow progress but if they went to lightspeed they may lose it and not be able to find it until it was to late. The horizon began to glow pink before they caught sight of it. It was being carried through the sky by dozens and dozens of Fallen Skiffs and Hive Tombships. There were also several Skiffs carrying the normal sized spider tanks. It was going to be a full invasion of the last city, maybe as bad as Twlight Gap. Akain had equipped himself with new armour and weapons, strangely enough Eve had multiple kits for Titans, Hunters and Warlocks, along with dozens of weapons. He had kept Yuri's pulse rifle, he also but equipped himself with a grenade launcher as a back up and a sharp longsword with a red blade and a purple grip. You don't look anything like you did before. Eve said to him as she took a sword for herself along with the hand cannon she had. Eve's ship was high above and far in front of the approaching hoard of Fallen and Hive. How are we getting onto it? If we get to close they are going to shoot us down with ease. Akain asked Eve. We dive she said as got up from the drivers seat and opened the side hatch of her ship, pink light flooded inside of the ship and the wind nearly knocked him off balance, he had to grab a railing on the ship to keep himself stable. Are you insane! He shouted to her over the noise of the wind. She looked at them, both of them had helmets on so and he couldn't see her face but he guessed she was smiling. We will see about that.
