My ideas for additional exotic armor/weapon combos (suggest your own too!)
By letting thorn pair with the new Necrotic grip gauntlets, bungie has opened a floodgate on potential new synergies between exotic armor and weapons. This is almost certainly a demo case to test the concept, so before they add more in the future, i thought i’d come up with some ideas of my own that will not only be cool, but will also essentially give underused exotics a niche buff. Maybe bungie will even see this if it blows up!

1. Tarrabah + peacekeepers: tarrabah no longer loses charge progress when stowed

This one has great potential to increase the potential of two underused exotics by taking advantage of both exotic perks, and also by fixing a problem the community has wanted changed without making tarrabah incredibly powerful compared to the investment.

2. Celestial nighthawk + Polaris lance: explosive 5th shot has increased precision damage and explosive radius, but missing a shot one will now cause perk progress to reset

Makes sense that the precision flame exotics would go together, increases the add clear potential and dps against majors, and balances itself by making inaccuracy more punishing, just like celestial nighthawk does for golden gun.

3. Lion Rampants + skyburner’s oath: hipfire projectiles track more accurately, do much greater damage to airborn targets, and have greater velocity while airborne.

Not only does this change make a joke of an exotic both more deadly and more fun, it makes tonal sense with the existing AC-130 playstyle it has already.

4. Karnstein armlets + Monte carlo: stacks of monte carlo method last longer and melee kills (rapid melee kills?) give the gun a temporary “vorpal” boost, doing increased damage to bosses and guardians with super active.

Great potential here, the playstyles meld perfectly already, and this turns the wielder into a very nasty customer if there are plenty of trash enemies mixed in with the majors. Also allows you to absolutely shred supers on rare occasions, which is a nice boost. The vorpal boost will be kept separate from the monte carlo method, as having it from a gun kill seems too good, but up for interpretation i guess.

5. Rat king + assassins cowl: allows finishers on enemies further from death after going invisible. Allows you to perform finishers on guardians in their super when invisible. Going invisible has a unique, louder sound queue, and puts a message in the game feed if an enemy currently has a roaming super active. Dodge cooldown reset when an enemy casts a super in close proximity.

Holy hell, the fun potential in this one! If an enemy roaming super is just running around willy nilly, show them who’s boss with this combo! Lots of balancing required to make this one happen, but it has alot of potential imo.

Note: yeah i only gave the warlocks 1, what of it? As it stands the warlocks have the only one that actually exists in game. Make your own suggestions if you want more :)
