Once you finish the campaign you can go to the Stranger and she'll give it to you.

check your quests tab and make sure you've gotten all of the campaign stuff done. could just be a glitch that you'll need to work out with bungie

Yeah, you have to defeat 3 of Eramis' buddies and do some various errands.

I’ve done this and to no avail :( the scene where she freezes is the end correct? If so I’ve done a lot of work after that to try and correct it but to no avail again

Freezing Eramis isn't the end. There's more, like a decent sized chunk more.
