My thoughts on Mask of Bakris

I got Mask of Bakris yesterday and I have been having a BLAST. I’ll just share my thoughts on it with you guys. What I like (short but this part has a lot of weight to it):
This exotic is an incredibly good movement exotic and feels amazing to use. It covers about 10 meters and is very quick which is great for getting in and out of sticky situations. It does not have the weapon handling debuff blink has not died it lose its radar. Can be used from a neutral position
Drawbacks (I agree with these, they keep the exotic balanced):
Now obviously Bungie has to keep this kind of movement in check and I agree ALMOST everything they did (I’ll get to what I disagree with later) It has an extra 10s to the cooldown. That means you can get your dodge back every 21s at best (or unless you die, then it’s 11s). If you rely on dodge for every engagement this exotic is not for you. The Shift does NOT work with your dodge perks. For example if you have marksman’s dodge equipped and you use shift you won’t reload your weapon. This is good since being able to reload or slow people while shifting would be busted You can still be hit mid shift. Think of it like the stretched hitbox on blink. People can shoot the trail and do damage to you. I believe the is partly because you’re not actually teleporting, but rather you’re dodging very far and quickly while invisible.
What I disagree with:
The only thing I disagree with is locking it to Revenant. If you don’t like this subclass then you can’t use this exotic despite the exotic itself having nothing to do with revenant. The shift doesn’t work with dodge perks and so that wouldn’t make it much of an issue on any other subclasses. You would have to deal with things like Top tree Nightstalker activating Vanishing step with this. Being forced to use revenant just to use this Exotic is quite annoying especially since it already has safety measures that would keep it in check if it was on other subclasses.
Overall this is definitely the best exotic I have ever used and the best movement I have experienced in Destiny since D1 Y1 Blink. I truly hope Bungie makes more exotics like this that change how you play and move. The only gripe is that it’s locked to Revenant, given the mentioned drawbacks, I highly doubt that it would be an issue on other subclasses and I think you should be allowed to use it on other subclasses.
