When you speak with support, please request recovering your Microsoft account. Asking Microsoft to adjust your link to your account from Bungie.net will just have them send you here because the Bungie.net link is a Bungie thing, not a Microsoft thing. This will not help you in this situation. Recovering your account is a Microsoft thing and is entirely independent of your link to Bungie.net and your profile. Authenticating to a platform ID that is attached to the Bungie.net profile is the only way to log into the Bungie.net profile. If you cannot authenticate to a platform ID that is attached to a Bungie.net profile, then you will not be able to log into that Bungie.net profile. Bungie will not forcefully unlink/link another account to the Bungie.net profile in order to allow you to log into that profile. - You keep saying that you have access to the email for the Bungie.net profile, but Bungie.net direct logins were removed several years ago. Bungie migrated their system to only using the Platforms' authentication sign-in systems. Having the email to the old authentication system for Bungie.net won't help you any as that system no longer exists as it was back then. Bungie will not grant you access to the Bungie.net profile using the old direct login email. - In this situation, your only option is to regain access to your XBL ID. You'll need to contact Microsoft to recover your XBL ID. There is no other method available for you to regain access to your old Bungie.net profile if you only had an XBL ID attached to it.
