Legendary Edition interaction with already owned Season Pass

I recently purchased the Season Pass for Season of the Hunt on Xbox. I have enabled cross-save and am currently interested in purchasing the Destiny 2 Legendary Edition on Steam. The Legendary Edition's Steam store listing says the following:
This edition includes the critically acclaimed expansions Forsaken, Shadowkeep, and Beyond Light, as well as access to the currently active season content.
Will the Season Pass included in the Legendary Edition grant me access to Season of the Hunt (which I already have) OR will it possibly grant access to an upcoming season? I have read two accounts on this. First, apparently during the Forsaken release, the Legendary Edition granted access to the next season of that year, when the purchaser already had access to the ongoing season. Second, users on this forum are asking about Season Pass refunds when purchasing the Deluxe Edition. Bungie has consistently stated that no refunds will be issued in these cases. However, the Deluxe Edition includes access to all four seasons of this year. This is a key difference to the Legendary Edition, which only offers a single Season Pass.

 • Hey there. If you purchase the Legendary edition after purchasing a Season Pass that is separate from your Beyond Light expansion purchase, you should receive another Season Pass that will count toward next Season. If you purchased the Beyond Light+Season bundle then you won't receive another Season Pass with the Legendary Edition.
