What do people mean KWTD by exact definition?

Know what to do. Yes, I'm very well aware of the definition, however I want to know EXACTLY what people mean when they say this. Just to explain why I'm asking this, I left destiny 2 a few weeks after the launch of the leviathan raid, mainly because I just felt like there was absolutely nothing to do. I've only completed it once and it was a rather painful experience, in short, I fumbled the most on that raid (especially during the last encounter with the plates) and personally I didn't feel like coming back to the game after that experience as I personally felt responsible for why it took so long to get it done. fast forward two years to today, I finally started playing again since its now on gamepass with all expansions, I've managed to grab numerous exotics, enjoying the random rolls I receive, and essentially prepping myself for endgame content, there's just one problem however... Missing out on the raids that are going to get vaulted. Soooo I've been spending the past few days on the lfg sites and trying to grasp my head around what people are looking for in their raid teams, I haven't joined any of them simply out of social anxiety not to mention my only evidential proof is only having one clear total in the leviathan raid from 2 years ago (ironically also leaving, technically making it zero). Getting to the question now, KWTD is the most common phrase that comes up in lfg, however from my experience of raiding in Destiny 1: knowing what to do ≠ having experience in the raid itself You can watch as many videos on the raid itself, no matter how long they are or how many rewatches you've done to make absolute sense of it, however you won't have the same pressure within the raid itself from the wipe mechanics to the communication with the rest of the team. So my question is, are people actually asking for clears on these raids? Or do they just want people to understand the bare mechanics? Because from my experience, people still need to be told what to do even though they have watched a guide beforehand, I've done enough VoG and Crota to know this as I have been in both the newbie side and the veteran side on Destiny 1. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Note: I'm not throwing shade on any party, I just want to be absolutely certain as I really hope to get these raids done before they leave, last thing I want is to be a hindrance and/or to waste my time and everyone else's since I don't even have 10+ clears on anything in general. (side note: I also tried looking into the sherpa reddit however my timezone is completely off scale as most times I find on there are either 1:00am or 5:00am in the morning, Australia is also notorious for having terrible connection across countries, it's something I can deal with but not many others have the patience for... I also still have yet to check out the Xbox lfg posts but I'm just going to assume it's essentially the same thing on there as well. Apologies in advance if I put this in the wrong forum category)

  • Bit long so didnt finish reading. Generally they want you to have an understanding of the mechanics and or where to be. Obviously having actually done it is always a better understanding but people can be carried through raids and not necessarily know what to do. In my opinion if they put Kwtd and don't specify you need clears or check your account for clears, they can't be too concerned about that part. Or just join the ones who seem more inviting and dont have silly requirements like, kwtd
