Hi there. The Postmaster is not meant to be used for storage and has limited capacity. Players are encouraged to pick up any items that drop on the ground when they see them and periodically check their Postmaster to clear out items or else risk losing them when new items go to the Postmaster. • Items held by the Postmaster may be lost for a number of reasons if not manually retrieved and stored in the Vault. • Items are discarded from the Postmaster when accruing over 20 "Lost Items" or deleting a Character. • Bungie does not replace in-game items that are lost or discarded. • Thanks much. In this case, I simply could not pick up the engram since it was not in a place that I could. Also, it seems that unless you exit the haunted forest session and return to orbit, items on the battle field would not register as exemplified in the fact that you may see ammo bricks still on the floor even after transitioning through game maps on the SAME planet. My engram dropped and I simply could not get it so it actually was supposed to be granted to me via the postmaster that had available space. My final take is that its possible that the transitions that are unique to the infinite forest may have assisted to this anomaly. Setting DIM to farming mode from now on for certain high drop content. These Umbral engrams fill us up very fast!
