So, customizing sensitivity has been a thing since before Halo CE, and we don't have it in this game, or rather, only for hip fire.
What is the reasoning behind this? It makes ADS feel way oversensitive and for someone like me it makes the game mechanics very unenjoyable, I would switch to PC but I have already bought BL on Xbox. Can Bungie please add this as a feature? The current sensitivity in ADS feels like a 10 so adding this feature won't harm people who do like a lower sens.

Thanks for everyone letting me know about handling. Not trying to hate but that's pretty dumb, I should be able to play at the sens I want to. I want to hear a rational argument against letting players have that freedom

Do you mean your scoped look speed? It's directly tied to your sensitivity. If you're playing at 10 Sens while at hip, you're gonna be just that fast when you aim as well. For example, I play and have always played somewhere around 4-5 Sensitivity in Destiny. I get jealous of the people who run 10 and can 180 while being chased, sure, but I can't hit anything at 10 when I scope in because the tiniest nudge of the stick makes me basically spin. 4-5 feels like a good middle ground to me.

Commenters, op is talking about sensitivity while ADS, and how ADS sensitivity cannot be changed respective to non-ADS sensitivity.

ADS is governed by the handling stat and perks.
-
and we don't have it in this game,
Yes we do but it's controlled by the Handling stat and other perks/mods
-
ADS is an adjustable stat, controlled by Handling like the other guy said. Can be further adjusted by certain perks like Snapshot. So don't expect any menu style adjustable slider. Why would Bungie give you that when they can make you grind for it? Sounds weird right? Well what about Aim Assist? How many games can you list that actually have AA as an adjustable stat? (Targetting mods, weapon mods etc.)

ADS speed I'd dictated my handling. It's not your fault you don't know because Bungie don't explain how stats actually work in-game. Check out Fallout Plays to learn more, that dude have lots of good in depth educational vids on how weapon stats function
