Why was Sunsetting conceived? [take 2]

Great job on the quick censorship, anonymous volunteer mod. Unluckily for you, I had a draft saved in case I was logged out before finishing. I'll do my best to clean up anything that can be perceived """offensive""", but if you still delete valid criticism and concern, I will report a ticket on misuse of mod tools. (Seriously though, I doubt you gave it a proper read when it wasn't even up for 10min)
I mean besides the scummy marketing of new seasons and to keep us on an endless treadmill. Can bungie put it's consumers over the rails any harder? I thought losing everything in the Red War/tTK was a load of bull, but now it's going to happen every season, why? What's the point of collecting anything if it's going to inevitably become garbage going forward? I just don't see any point in having an initiative over collecting anything if it will have such a weak shelf life, it will just have a lame updated copy later on that I'll have to waste just as much time (if not more so with fiddly perks) getting back. Getting that one piece of equipment that fits you perfectly is supposed to be rewarding, not a never ending chore. I stopped playing during the Warmind expansion because it felt so boring and repetitive. Came back for Shadowkeep (still haven't even bought Forsaken, just like the Y1 content I paid for, most of it's f2p anyway). Felt fun enough, realized there was a lot left to be done, so I've been grinding my butt off trying to collect it all before it becomes inaccessible, that is until recently when I found out sunsetting will render it all just wasted effort. I've worked a lot of low income jobs that haven't made me feel as burnt out as this poorly handled game. I was excited for the next expansion, I waited so long for the Exo Stranger to make her return. I was absolutely poised to pre-ordering it for myself and a friend. But I believe I won't be doing that, I feel like I was absolutely correct in dropping this fruitless 'game'. Supporting it further will just feeling like throwing time and money away. Now I've been around these forums for a very long time and I know a good amount of you just can't wait to say "bye felicia" as you'll feel certain I won't be missed and will come back like a sucker. For you, I want to ask the most important question: Why do you defend such consumer unfriendly decisions every time?
