Yes, it's a weird question I know
But recently I was bored one day and decided to spy on different enemy's around the game. Eventually I made my way to fallen and remembered that under their armor is a hard carapace that sits over their softer more pinkish flesh
So my imagination started going on and on about how Eliksni work, and how their bodies develop, and the question popped up in my brain
Do you think as an Eliksni gets older, their carapace begins to molt or shed? Growing alongside an Eliksni as they reach adulthood or something like that?
I know turtles shed their shells, so maybe fallen do something similar?
Just a weird theory I guess

Idk, but Eramis is mommy 👀

Considering how often we kill them, I don’t think they ever get the chance to shed.
-
They shed everything when shot "directlee in the buttocks!"

All I know is they have softish eggs

Edited by Hesh: 10/20/2020 1:26:09 AMWho knows and who cares! It can all change on a whim anyway! Apparently they only need Ether to survive... but wait! Now they can also subsist on human babies somehow! For all we know, every single enemy race in this shitshow sheds their brains right outta heads! Would definitely explain their programming and AI! (Oh, and by the way, they only molt once right after they're first born. They molt their egg right off.)

Edited by ShadowheartMC: 10/20/2020 5:36:36 AMThe proper term is molting yes. Not really a theory, as it was confirmed by bungie that they are modeled after insects

Considering the docking process, I believe it wouldn’t be too far fetched

Ask Shadowheart

That'd be cool if they did and you could see past skin in their lairs
