Tribute Hall
With all the changes coming, the sun setting and the vaulting i could understand the reasons why and i generally supported them.
But the removal of the Tribute Hall cuts deep.
The hall represent more than just the many many hours i have invested in it.
It is the place i test my weapons , builds and supers.
It is the place i access the Bank.
It is the place from which i form fire teams.
It is the place my fire team goes to to reload weapon ammo before another strike.
It is one place in game i have an emotional connection to.
Bungie i hope you are planning to load our clips to max when starting a new activity or will i have to take my team to some random location that has some out of the way public event?
This is a bridge too far Bungie , the loss of functionality to big to excuse what is simply a bad decision motivated by laziness.

1 ReplyIf they are going to take that away, they should at least make another similar one where we can be near our vault while being near a firing range to test our weapons and stuffs. I don't like to have to travel between places just to do those things (if the Tribute Hall were to be vaulted), its tedious and takes too long.

The biggest insult is that to keep it, all Bungie has to do is copy/paste the current subroutine and spend maybe a hour or 2 to clean up the code to remove any quests/bounties etc . And leave it orbiting Nessus.

4 RepliesTribute hall was made by Vicarious Visions. Vicarious Visions made arguably better content in Destiny than Bungie did. This is the real reason it's getting nuked. Can't have the support team having better content than the actual creators. Change my mind.

23 Repliesevery planet is a firing range, go anywhere and test away. fireteams can be formed anywhere, and is actually more of a pain if people are sitting in an extra load screen just to join them. the bank is in the tower, on multiple apps, not as if you are losing access to it. public events will reload your reserves the same way. the only thing you'll be missing out on is your "emotional attachment".

Im with you OP. To me it is my place to test or discard a particular weapon, loadout or abilities. I have spent a lot of resources there for this very reason. Just another thing to hate Bungo for I suppose. They don't care, they are not the ones doing the grind and wasting time and resources. It is very needed to me.

I will never understand their decisions. They are desperately seeking money through Eververse. I am sure, at least a good portion of the Hardcore players would pay a one time fee for their own little space. A space where you can store your stuff, showcase your weapons and maybe triumphs. A testing ground for weapons/skills, a reloading and super refresh station like in Menagerie and a damn haircutter! A private room you can invite your friends to and not like Menagerie where they must have access but up to the player. Tribute Hall was the closest we got to housing so far and I hate to see it going away.

Anyways, before the tribute hall was established, we used to fly into a location relatively close to whatever strike or event we were doing that had a public event, reload everything, and be on our way. But with the right set up, it's not very difficult to be fully loaded by the midway point of any given strike. Plus, I found it more satisfying to test weapons in EP. Got to play with the aim, set up, perks in real game situations.

9 RepliesI honestly cant see the reason why they would have to remove it. Now sure, they want to cut down on file size, and there is a lot to the entire area, but they could easily just update it to work with what we have, If they cut out the ascendant realm, all that leaves is the normal area. Past that its just textures that are left and honestly id be ok if it was changed to fit what is being added. Id even be ok with a completely white room with black outlines. It just has to stay.
