It’s not letting me type my username in the section of the deactivation function of cross save on either my computer or phone so I can deactivate cross save to retrieve my Xbox characters

You may also want to read through their article for more information on what actions can affect your Cross Save. Note: Bungie goes through these reports in order that they receive them, and only during normal business hours Pacific Time.
