Was there a character wipe?
So basically i haven't played destiny(1) in years probably since about 2016 so i decided to reinstall destiny and give it a go for nostalgic curiosity, but noticed that i have no character data now and even on this site, was there a wipe or something throughout those years?

No wipe. D1 characters no longer show on this app as its now for D2. You can use DIM or Ishtar Legacy apps to transfer armour and weapons for D1.
