PC is running Destiny 2 at max settings (Geforce experience optimized)
Getting 60-110 FPS in patrol zones. Titan im barely passing 70 and in some points I actually cant break 60. I have all settings Maxed bar depth of field which is off.
Reso: 2560x1440
Power settings: High Performance
VSync: Off
Specs:
Intel Core i7-7800X
Gigabyte RTX3080 10GB
Samsung 970 Evo NVMe PCIe M.2 500GB (D2 is on this)
Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Team Group Inc. TEAMGROUP-UD4-3000 4x8GB
Ive seen benchmarks for D2 on 3080 cards reaching avg 165FPS at Max settings, i feel like im lucky to get 144 anywhere above a low stress environment. No idea whats up

Yeah man I'm not getting a performance boost either. My rig is 17-10700k, msi 3080, 32gb of ram. I play pvp in 1440p and the frame rate goes from 130-200 but averages 140-160. When I was using my 1080ti I stayed at 180-200 consistently. No clue why the 3080 is performing so bad. Its only on D2 though my other games my frame rate doubled.

This game has generally rubbish performance in specific areas. Hows your performance in Gambit? Mines is always awful in there, on a 2070 Super, Ryzen 5 2600, stock clocks on both. Titan has similar problems, Trostland church is another huge problem area where if I stand where the Lake of Shadows strike drops you, I get 100+ FPS no bother, but then I walk towards the church, suddenly I'm at 70 fps and it has weird drops below 50 out of nowhere. I wish I could get RTSS to hook in so I could get a good frametime and framerate graph for the game.

Tried clearing cvars?

Edited by tchakael: 9/24/2020 8:35:49 AMFirst, don't use userbenchmark, it's a website that spreads a lot of misinformation about pc parts, with a lot of biased content and agressive wording towards components that arent intel. Second, it's something with some specific spots in the game where there are lots of light sources and elements in the skybox, or a lot of cpu heavy loads like network sync, enemie ai and such, like on trostland's church and the shard of the traveler behind, titan's arcology, some bigger gambit maps as in gambit both maps are always rendered. Nothing has been done about this since launch, but newer areas like the dreaming city and the moon offer better overall performance.

Seen as the GPU is brand new, I wouldn't write off poor driver optimization for the game.

i would use ryzen with that card might get better results
