Context: Back in year one of Destiny 2 there were endgame pursuits that not only offered gear but also flair to chase (very similar to our current seasonal model that gives a shader and emblem for ritual activities, but also a bit different as it also offered gear such as ornaments and ghost shells). These activities did include Crucible and Strikes, but it also included Iron Banner, Trials of the Nine, and Faction Rallies. Reason why it should happen: Unfortunately not many people went after these pursuits as many had stopped playing the game after the reception of season 2 and those that did found that going after everything (split through 5 activities) in two months time was a bit unheard of and so did not complete that entire collection. Many of those players in that time (and beyond) also switched platforms and in doing so lost their progress and what they had gotten as they had to start anew. Between then and season 8, that new platform became their new account and when cross save was put into play decided to use that account as their main as they did not want to regrind everything again on their old account. Examples and stories: The previously mentioned, current activity ritual pursuits are a watered down version of what it once was (for better and for worse) and now just adds to the dull task of the XP grind with bounties. The previous system gave some players the opportunity to do something new in times of content drought. Today when I see someone that I know has played during year one and doesn’t have some or all of these cosmetics, I scratch my head and wonder if this person ever got everything on another account and if they want the opportunity to earn them again. We’ve seen the weapons and armor from year one activities be reprised or returned to us, but we’ve only seen 1 cosmetic return: the Honors of the Nine shader. How can we get Eververse items (gear that was supposed to be exclusive to a season) reprised to us either in the archive tab or through rotation, but not other cosmetics? Afterthoughts: So I made this post for you; the person who might have lost some achievement with them in the transition to cross save their account. Obviously everyone has their own opinion on this (micro transaction or quest, sense of achievement and shouldn’t be brought back or sense of elitism and should be brought back for those who want a second chance, etc), I certainly have mine. But that’s not the point of this. The point is to give others a chance to polish off their collection and reclaim what might have been lost. I made this in good faith and hopefully its good intentions are heard. Thank you.
