have notifications of new messages or replies on website none are found
its now happened for both private messages and response to general replies and i looked on the app and its not there its only appearing on the website

I have the same exact issue. It's been going on for about a week or two now for me. I think it's a problem with the website being really slow to respond to stuff. I've noticed the website often takes a bit to move to different pages, write comments, and register read notifications.
