Any of those AR changes he suggests would create an instant hand cannon meta. That is obviously what he is angling for. The super upon kill suggestion is also stupid as it would create yet another steamroll mechanic for high skill players/teams. Less super kills?...nope. It would just shift more super kills to those getting more gun kills. I guess that would also suit him just fine.

  • Hand cannon metas are the best because they have the broadest skill gap. As for “steamroll mechanic” nothing he suggested would be more of a steamroll mechanic than what we have now in pump action type mods. Also he has a point super energy only generating on kill would most likely kill crucible. people already dont want to play it, dont make it worse than it needs to be for them.

  • He didn’t say only generating on kill. He specifically said he wanted intellect stat to affect how much is generated on kill, rather than the base generation rate. Example: current base rate is about 5 minutes and max intellect is 3:45 ish In TVs solution, max intellect wouldn’t change the base rate, (but you would still passively charge super) It would just affect how much super energy you EARN per kill. Which I think is a good thing

  • It’s 100% the truth. Hand cannons are one of the least forgiving weapons in terms of missing a shot. Example: 150 rpm HC optimal ttk 100% crits = 0.8s but if you miss a single headshot? 75% precision = 1.2s 600 autos? Optimal ttk 88% crit 0.7s and if you hit no headshots? 0% precision 1.2s On top of that, hand cannons suffer noticeable accuracy penalties at max rof, autos do not. So shot pacing is required. On top of that, hand cannons leverage movement skill, while autos negate it. Auto metas are brainless and low skill gap Hand cannon metas have a much higher skill gap

  • Lol They are not high skill. You don’t have to pace shots with 150/180. Spam away. They are basically d1 scout rifles. Less forgiving if you miss a crit, but you only have to 3 tap for the kill. And you can peek shoot. You should beat any ar if you are near cover. Ridiculously large hit boxes due to high aim assist/accuracy. Like literally anywhere within a meter of the head it a crit. Lowest zoom sights of any gun except sidearms maybe, yet and can reach out to 30+ meters and 3 tap, 2 tap with the right perks active. Give me a break.

    I’m on LFG and never claimed to be some Trials god in the first place. But my most used weapon in PvP in general is hand cannons. Because 150s are braindead compared to the majority of options. Edit: not to mention all those games were on PC and I’m still dog with M+KB.
