Bungie, remember when you were SO sorry about the Bright Dust economy and vowed to include Dust in events?

I don't really remember which past event it was, but I DO remember when you were SO sorry about how the Bright Dust gains just weren't enough - weirdly in an economy YOU designed and tested - and promised to include some Dust in seasonal Weekly Bounties. Yeah, about that... where is that now? It just went away after a few events. I'm sure it was just an oversight and not at all intentional. I mean, you wouldn't gamble on most people not noticing and then just quietly go back on that, right? EDIT: Apparently it's a bug that is being investigated. After all that has happened in the past, I'm not sure how I feel about giving them the benefit of the doubt anymore (specifically when it comes to bugs that benefit them and the Eververse), but at least it's being fixed. EDIT 2: On the one hand I don't feel like I deserve all these likes and to be on the front page because this post was literally just a mistake I made and then corrected as quickly as possible. On the other hand though, I think it's very telling how people immediately assume the worst of Bungie whenever monetization is concerned. And I'm not trying to take a dump on the people doing that, Bungo has no right to complain after years of predatory, manipulative garbage. It's less like they don't deserve the benefit of the doubt anymore, rather it's more like they have worked their hardest to destroy any kind of trust people once had in them.

 • It's funny how things changed for the worse after Chris Barrett was trying to improve things like the events. https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/46567
We recognize that the scales are tipped too far towards Tess at the moment, and Eververse was never intended to be a substitute for end game content and rewards. So, we’ll be making three changes for upcoming Seasons: We’re shifting the balance of new content in favor of activity rewards over Bright Engrams. This includes adding Ghosts, Sparrows, and ships (to date found only in Bright Engrams) to achievement reward pools. We'll provide a gameplay path to earn Bright Engrams and all contained rewards (including Event Engrams). We’ll give players more direct purchase options and make adjustments to Bright Engrams to allow players to get the items they want more often.
At that time some things improved but look at what has been removed since then and how the scales have tipped back over to the shop.
