Got a refund, need to see some fixes before I come back.
I got a refund. Just a new map and a new element doesn't cut it for me. I hope they're changing things for the better next dlc, but as of right now, there's a lot they need to fix and rework before I come back. Dead by Daylight has been my game lately. at least they update their game weekly and patch needed things and take advice from the consumer. Bungie I have yet to see it.
I've been a player since D1 Beta. Have had many great years and many bad years in this game. But since last season, I've yet to play longer than 10 hours between these two seasons. I don't even think the cosmetic is worth SoH. Depending what they do next dlc, I may or may not come back depending what I see. 🤷 Only time can tell. I hope bungie for the best as well. Til then DBD is my game.
Things I'd need to see:
-Bungie needs to listen more to the consumer.
-shader rework
-auto-dismantle toggle
-Loadouts, vault rework
-Gain loot from raids however many times you want to run it, make pinnacles weekly, grant ascendant and prisms
-New leveling system. One where the higher my level, the more I see a difference between getting attacked and giving damage.
-Aztec brought a good point, bring a community system in the farm for group activities people can stand next to and have flags, in game LFG.
-Make armor stats worth it, example: if 9 seconds is the ultimate hunter perk, if you're at 76% you should get 76% of 9 seconds instead of the ten digits system.
- stop with the multiple pinnacles of the same armor piece, create a buffer between so we can progress faster and easier.
- better anti-cheat
- Remove affinity on armor ffs. Make stat mods 0 and give us more options for mods to play with.
-balance the game and stop nerfing everything in sight when it's decent.
Like.. there's so much that needs fixing. a lot of these are quick and easy.

Bungie ran off idea years ago. Anti-cheat ahaha will never happens. since it is free to play I didn’t have to put money in a broken game were not much is done.

I will play the dlc and first season with game pass ultimate. Then likely leave it to see what the community think before buying any further seasons. I only played this season because i had a free stadia 3 month trial, however, it has been the best season of the 4 in my opinion so will probably finish the pass just for the witherhoard ornament. I just can't commit time to destiny like i used too in d1, its too much work when there are other games that also require time. Shame real life has to come first n working 60 hour weeks kills off gamers.

Wow. This post has blown up with so many good and bad points, and a fair amount of pointless. At the end of the day their currently isnt much out there to replace this broken game with and 60 bucks is a tank of fuel. A tank that will go aprox 400 miles at an average speed of 40mph. Thats 10 whole hours of traffic hell, driving isnt really that fun. So buy it or dont, its your money. But even in its worst state I will get more than 10 hours of joy from next season. I do sappose it might be easier for me since im a touch older and more financially set but i suspect a large percentage of those saying good bye are paying for games with their parents money. And who cares what you do with parent money, just buy it and dont play. Support the cause and be a rebel at home. Win win

3 RepliesThere are a hell of a lot more things that need to be improved in this game that the WoW guy -blam!-ed up over the last 3 years. Not that this company didn't have from 2007 up until 2017 to learn and move forward with a lot of things. 1. The loot system in this game is very poorly designed that it is broke that favors the shop 2. There is no consistency that this company constantly changes things like the infusions system that is getting changed again that is broken. 3. There is no progress in this game, it's let's keep starting them over so they literally end up going Nowhere. 4. The "RNG" in this game is broken when it comes to duplicates, yet somehow they fixed it to where exotics rarely drop and you don't get multiple duplicates as everything else in this game. 5. The constant nerfing our Guardians making us weaker calling that creating a "challenge" needs to go. I can't stand how our Guardian is a pansy that can't take damage with a damn. 6. The venders are broken 7. No replayable content 8. The mod system was designed to have more control over how players play the game 9. Stats in this game suck 10 There is no skill tree 11. The copy and past content I only listed a few things that they did better in the first game. The most important things about a game like this are broken in this game that this company needs to get their act together. They are acting like an amateur company learning how to create a game 6 years later.

You know a game is fading in a fun way when instead of playing it you go to the forums to see if people have similar sentiment as you and replace that with what would have been game time.

1 ReplyI'm out at the end of the season, I've been enjoying hanging out with a few mates just mucking around in Crucible and Gambit, and some raids - but fundamentally the game has changed for the worse ever since Shadowkeep. Forsaken was brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed that whole year, but after the first season of Shadowkeep I've only played enough of each season to get the pas done since I paid for it in advance. To be honest if its something great I may buy it when it goes on the inevitable big sale, but since Cyberpunk is out just after Beyond Light and with what has been revealed so far, I won't play any other game (besides a little Div 2) for months - then again they also have 2 big expansions out in the following year so maybe ill never be back as Cyberpunk multiplayer is due out in 2022. But when you look back at the game, its really had 1 great year with 1st and 3rd year pretty much rubbish which is why I don't have much hope going forward with their monetisation focused practices.

46 RepliesI think most people who are disappointed in this game don’t understand a few key things about Bungie. Bungie’s business model is not to be the best video game in its genre. Bungie wants to make a profitable product. As long as they meet their numbers they will continue doing what they do. If you want to force Bungie to make a better product it has to be done through their wallet. Like the OP is doing. That also plays into Bungie’s infatuation with streamers. It’s a quid pro quo. Bungie gets free press from it, streamers get paid. Win win. Bungie has learned this through the years unfortunately. So if you want Bungie to cater to the casual gamer, stop watching streamers. Or just play the game as it is. I don’t play much so I’ve got about 30 quests to do. Every time I get on there’s something to do. My 13 year old just started playing as well. My dad also plays. I finally have a 3 man fire team!

I just wanted to post up where bungie has taken destiny so those of you wanting to make an informed decision as to invest in the next dlc or not has a bright future. This link will take you to Steam where most every game is tracked constantly by using nearly every game tracker online. https://store.steampowered.com/stats/Steam-Game-and-Player-Statistics?l=english Destiny 2 is in the top 10 for 8/13/20. Not bad but at a peak across all platforms of 90,793 its a massive drop from the past. When Forsaken dropped D2 broke a record or two of over 6 million active players in a day. Of course the numbers were high as hell because it was a huge drop with mass marketing. It was easy to follow in the press as Activision cashed in big by exploiting these numbers to shareholders. After things calmed down D2 leveled off for quite some time at around 800k to 1m active daily players. Still massive. Nearly 2 years later and 90k is it, during the solstice event. Maybe on a saturday it might hit 120k and after any dlc it spikes to around 1400-160k for a few days. Dont be fooled into thinking bungie is on the right track. The track their on only has 1 rail and looks unfinished ahead. Sinking ship, destined for disaster, trash bond or whatever you want to call it, the dwindeling numbers dont lie. A few hundred streamers wont pay their bills eirher. Creation of new content is the only way to stay viable and without a much larger company to "run" the platform there are little resources left at bungie to create. Personally I have no issue with paying 60 bucks for what could be a great game even if its falling apart. I will get more bang for that money than eating a 60 dollar meal would give me. But I think its derailing fast and will likely get pushed aside for a new game when the new consoles drop. Life goes on for me. Bungie's future is a varriable. Its your money and you should always research what your spending it on.
