We can already preview shaders on exotic weapons (Pictured above, Sunshot Red Dwarf ornament with Jacarina), so why not just let us put shaders on exotic weapons? Shading weapons would help them fit our builds better fashion-wise, and would generally open up a lot of customization, and make exotics feel more personal to us.
We can shade legendary weapons with ornaments, so that won't really work as a reason.

they wont do it.. its annoying but they think it will mess with there ornaments... aka there money... cause people want like a black skin for there guns, so they very lazzzyyyaly put on a black shader and call it a day and sell it for 800 silver. with them bumping the price of shader's to a horrible 450 bright dust. i think its time for them to allow us to put shaders on.. they let us do it with our armor, I don't know why they didn't with the wep's.
-
Yes, we should be able to. Side-question, how did you (or whoever made the picture) preview the Shader in Sunshot's menu? I know you can see the shader on whatever your primary weapon is, but I didn't know about this one.
-
I prefer the ornaments but I just want more of them.
-
It wont ever happen bungle wants your $ not improving the game

You can put shaders on exotic armor, why not weapons as well -
Exotic weapons and there ornaments are part of what makes exotics exotic. Shaders have no buisness on them
-
Imagine voting no
-
Short answer? Yes. Why? Exotic armor.
-
93%, god damn. I’m the one MF that thinks they shouldn’t. Just feels wrong, feels like it takes away some of the weapon’s identity.
-
Yes! Sunshot looks awesome with that shader.
-
It is a feature though we just can't do it. If you preciew a ahader from your inventory or collections it will apply to an exotic if your character is holding one.
-
I don't understand why we can't, we can put shaders on exotic armor so why not the weapons?
-
Yes! 1) you can put shaders on exotic armor with and without an ornament 2) you can put shaders on legendary weapons even if it has an ornament equipped 3) the bulk of the exotic weapon ornaments changes the physical appearance of the weapon, thats what is being purchased https://youtu.be/dFIs1kgRswI

It it means less money for Bungie it will never happen. Think about how much people spend on ornaments from the cash shop. It would man less sales. If I still played I personally wouldn’t care about ornaments if I could stick shaders on them.
-
Weapons don't really matter with shaders or look imho but an exotic out of any other tier of equipment should be the most customizable tbh.
-
For anyone complaining about this saying it’s a waste of time to do, remember that when viewing a shader by itself on all items it puts it on your weapon in your hand too meaning the game can already put shaders on exotics
-
No we here at bungie believe you should use and look how we want. That’s why we’re sunsetting 90% of the loot in destiny, the less variety the better is our motto you’re welcome. Also don’t forget you can buy exotic ornaments with money!? What more could you ask for!? Best regards, -Luke smith

I've wanted this for a long time. They could even sell an Ornament, that when equipped, allows you to apply a shader. To go one step further, they could start making Exotic Shaders that can only be equipped to Exotic weapons, and sold for Bright Dust like other Shaders in Eververse but twice or three times the price e.g. 120 Bright Dust.
I say sell an Ornament because Bungie won't do anything unless you mention money/profit.
-
There are literally hundreds of other things I would change/fix before this. I really dont care but if it makes you happy then sure why not.
-
It's beats the whole purpose of selling ornaments. This poll was a given.
-
Yes, but they won’t do it since ornaments are worth real money smdh
-
Then exotic weapons wouldn’t be unique anymore
-
Some shaders if your preview them with an exotic in your hand they change color. So they were meant to but bungie said nah to much work and scraped the idea because they are lazy. Just like what they have been doing for what the past 4 or 6 years with this game. Why actually put in any work for the game to make it better when they can just revert everything back to destiny 1 and be lazy. This is how and why we get shit games. Developers get lazy.
-
Yes but it won’t happen cause bungie wants to make money from the weapon cosmetics.
-
Bungie doesn’t know how to make it work tho
-
More freedom is always better than not. More people rocking different versions of those exotics, more expression culminating in a more diverse world. The same should be the case for universal ornaments being equipped on Exotic armors. We can already shader exotic armors and that's not a problem so open it all up Bungie.
