This is ultimately unacceptable, and given that we cant preview the armor in-game prior, the product is eligible for a refund, at least in the UK, shown by https://www.gov.uk/accepting-returns-and-giving-refunds.
This should also extend to bright dust, as the currency is directly linked to silver, which has a direct entry point to monetization; as such bright dust has an intrinsic value, which Bungie has shown they know about. Given the bundle, 6000 bd has an equivalence to 1500 silver, meaning 4 bd is equivalent to 1 silver; 1 bd is worth approximately a quarter of a cent.
In this example, silver does not fulfill the example of a convenience currency, as both the bright dust and silver options are available throughout the event, inside of the silver event purchase page.
and given that we cant preview the armor in game prior
Not true. You can pull up the store, go to events and you can 100% preview it. Im on ps4, i pressed triangle on the armor and it previewed the glows, before buying for my titan.
