Solstice of Heros is "Magnificent"
Just an all around great game to play. Gotta say Bungie, your really outdid yourselves this time. I mean the EAZ is fantastic what with the single map with different enemies that spawn in each session. Hell the great part about it is the blind treasure hunt at the end where if you're lucky you might get some of the chests you've spawned in. Just genius only giving us a minute or so to find them all.
But the real cake topper? The big bestest part of this whole event? The shining "Magnificient" armor. HOW GENIUS it is to lock those leg armors behind Trials!!!!!! I mean who would have guessed at the overwhelmingly PvE basis of the solstice of heros event would require players to actively subject themselves to abject torture dealing with rampant hackers and frustration in knowing you can get every piece of the armor except one!!!! GENIUS!!! I mean yeah, we expected being forced to partake in pvp for quest related activities, but Trials... thats just,... Im speechless at what to say.
I mean next you're going to tell me you're bringing back sparrow racing but the gear you can get from it requires a flawless lighthouse visit!! Man you all are such a riot!

1 ReplyYeah you would think they would come up with NEW ideas on these events. Getting stale. Just wait the haunted forest will be back just the same as usual. Ohhh I forgot they think we all like to grind grind grind. They think weekly grind is fun. They think we all like that because the 1% YouTube people say they do. If I hadn't prepaid for this next DLC I might of called it I'm done. I mean it's been how many years now and they keep breaking the game more and more. I think after this I'm done. Unless they pull a -blam!-ing rabbit out of the hat and fix the game like it was in the beginning then I'd go sweet. Problem with bungie is they've taken the fun out of the game. Grind isn't fun.

They need people for streamers to crush. The only people that play trials either cheat or sweat like crazy, bungie is literally catering to cheaters, streamers and recovery services over their much larger pve base, feeding us in their broken ass pvp. Brain dead terrible decisions wake the hell up, 90% of us don’t want to play trials period.

1 ReplyI got the Magnificent set on my titan and ran a nightmare hunt to unlock the glow on the arms, now i've done the two triumphs towards the Moments of Triumphs seal i'm done, don't really care about the glows tbh. Can bungie please hurry up and release the quest for Traveller's Chosen? I'd like that Title

Bungie think more about there streamers than the actual players who pay there wages. Look at the emblem and shader deal with Twitch. giving money to streamers that already earn a lot of money and to a company owned by Amazon who are a very large company that in the UK dodge millions of pounds of tax. just shows who Bungie have at the top of there important list.

1 ReplyHence why I'm getting the armor and then calling quits on SoH. Leave it to Bungie to think we're too stupid to notice something is locked behind a paywall or marathon of suffering such as Trials. A glowy effect isn't worth a stroke or heart attack to me..

I've completed them all, flashpoint gives me only 1 per day....5 days to complete the blue set, I mean who is the moron at bungie that thought this would be a smart thing to do ? Come on now, own up and go to the dunces corner all by yourself !

No just the one and only sparrow we get to ride in SRL is locked behind 7 consecutive Flawless runs in one weekend. I'm sure it would be a Datto idea. Good luck with that Datto!

Got the majestic set, scrapped it, got the bright dust ornaments and done with this event. Don’t need the “prestige” of the magnificent set. Ta-da!

Did you just say doing years old strike, gambit and patrol grinds plus the garbage eaz mode is bungie "outdoing" themselves? Because that's absolutely correct. Bungie are so inept making us grind playlist modes, Y1 patrols and last years copy/paste event is bungie doing the best job they can. Honestly if they want the series to be great they should sell destiny to another dev - one who's competent
