What Grinds my Gears

I wanted to try using Wish-ender in Prophecy and soon after I join I get kicked. I swear this grinds my gears to no end as people are super tryhards and just want to ruin my fun from trying anything out. These tryhards just want you using mountaintop and falling guillotine and anarchy and nothing else! They just want the best shit used and nothing else and if you dont have that then your automatically kicked from the fireteam! And this is what grinds my gears the most about this game

  • Make your own fire team, and don't kick yourself. Problem solved.

  • You could always make your own post. Whenever I make posts for things I genuinely don’t care who joins or what they’re using as long as we complete the activity.

Ehy Sapphirous. A Community as large as the one of Destiny 2 is formed by many different kind of players. Some of them are Elitists who prefer only to play with other Elitists and use the best gear possible in order to achive their goals in the fastest possible way. There is nothing wrong in the Elitism itself; if they want to play in this way, that's their choice and they have all the right to do so. However, when things are not put in a clear way, situations like the one you experience may occour. And of course it is really bad. A little advice to avoid this is instead of join pre-formed groups, maybe try to make one by yourself. There are many chill Clans and Guardians that are happy to play without bother of such a thing like which Equip do you use. Don't let this experience ruin your idea of the Destiny 2 Community in general. We are not all like those players you met. Hope this may help.

  • What made you decide to test it out in Prophecy? Did Prophecy earlier to help some guy get his eyes for ruinous effigy. All of us were randoms but two of them were there for the eyes. The third guy kept killing knights in the wrong shade and kept dunking in the wrong places. I don't care what you run but at least know what you're doing. Otherwise your just hindering everyone else.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting players to be efficient, especially when you have to grind Prophecy many times to get god-rolled stats on gear. If you want to be inefficient, that's fine. Just make your own group so you're not walking into people's fireteams and dragging them down.

  • Can’t blame people for wanting to be efficient and optimal

    • Definitely find your own team or clan group (lots out there). Sole reason for the clan me and my friend created. Enough of us to be able to do raids and have fire teams. We all are learning as we go (we are totally new to D2), watch a TON of videos on others running raids, dungeon yada yada yada and learn from those as much as we can. Before we started our own clan, I hated going into a strike and not knowing what to do especially since NO ONE wants to enter the chat, which would be nice if folks did that more often. Then at least there is communication going on and I can give a heads up of "I have no freaking clue what I'm doing, so you can kick me out or help me learn".

    • Lol, this kind of sounds like your fault for choosing to play with hardcore players that want to do content as efficiently as possible. It's pretty easy to host your own lfg and find like minded players. This way you can't be kicked. Problem solved.

    • Wish Ender does suck in PvE though.

      • Prophecy is a great fun activity. Just try to join a chill team. Or set up your own group stating chill fun run. There will be no shortage of takers. Most people just want a stress free run.😁
