SERIOUS NAT issues in Qatar - Nationwide

Re-post of my steam discussion post:
All of my friends and myself and stuck behind double NAT and have the worst experience possible connecting to each other (constant NAT and Network errors). We've tried VPNs, tunneling to other regions, DMZs and port forwarding and it barely helps. This was never an issue back on Battlenet but since the Steam switch it's become unbearable. If anyone has a solid solution or could even bump this up to the point where maybe Bungie could see it, it would be greatly appreciated.
So I'll try to make this brief, everyone I know in Qatar that plays D2 has NAT issues and it stops us from joining each other. We've tried every possible solution under the sun to solve this but it was all for naught. So on behalf of all D2 gamers in Qatar, this is our plea to Bungie, to please try doing something on their end so that we can get past this issue. Furthermore I've tried to reach out to community managers on twitter, as per the link related to this post and that was to no avail (though I'm sure they must be busy as hell so I don't blame them) but Christ this needs to be brought to the attention of Bungie. We're not talking about a handful of gamers here but an entire nation that's facing this. Please, please, sort us out.

  • Are you encountering any specific error messages, and have you followed any steps in the associated Help articles to troubleshoot your issue? You can also review the Network Troubleshooting Guide for general tips on how to improve your connection to other players. Switching from WiFi to a wired Ethernet cable, or making sure your NAT is properly configured can help reduce the number of problems caused by your network connection. One thing to keep in mind is that you should only have UPnP enabled, port forwarding configured, or your console/PC in the DMZ; using more than one solution may cause conflicts. If you've exhausted all options on your end, you may need to work with your ISP to have them resolve any issues within, or on the edges of, their network.

    • Out of curiosity, what's the reason behind the whole double-Nat?

      • I get this all the time with my friends from the same area. Its actually so sad spending hours to sort connections for a raid. :/
