So, after playing momentum control, where 150 scouts normally should 1 tap, I'm seeing such inconsistent damage. 203, 190, 189, 149, 139. None of these were at opponents in super. What the heck is up with scouts bungie? Not only are they weak and pointless, but now random damage?

100% aggree so many good scouts in the game that are usless because of ..... Reasons. Bungie will try and soon it that they are to "safe" but they are garbage on every aspect. They are out ranged by sidearms and fusion rifles. They have longer TTK than auto rifles that just shouldn't be the case.

I agree. at least give them a buff in pve, could care less about pvp. the poor oxygen scout never had a chance to twinkle let alone shine. it's really too bad because the concept of what the gun could be is a great idea. it would be nice to see if a weapon like oxygen could be viable with its special perk. oh well, it's getting sunsetted anyway, wish it wasn't.

Agree.......one would think that Scouts would be the go to gun to challenge snipers but.......Nope. Scouts don't flinch a damn thing, the TTK is too slow when a hunter gets hit twice and dodges out of the way, they don't provide any extra safety because of their range (bungies excuse for no buffing them) because the maps are so small, etc. Scouts have sucked for years.....#MSGA

I wonder what would happen if scouts like jade rabbit could 2 tap to the head? The fire rate will be reduced just a bit so its not frustrating and they would have to take an insane amount of flinch at close range but if they could 2 tap at long ranges, that would be interesting to see. Maybe have scouts the same fire rate as bows

God yes. I have sidearms that hit harder at distance than most scouts. Would love to see scouts return to viability.

Agreed. Either buff scouts or tweak damage fall off for hand cannons and auto rifles. Right now there is no reason to use a scout rifle when I could use a hand cannon which hits harder or a 600rpm with rangefinder which is more forgiving.

Captain my scans detect that "Scout" class rifles are generally ineffective. Data shows that "Sniper" class rifles are too dominant within the most effective range! Processing... Please Wait... Data also suggests that map rotation is 88.743... % unfavorable towards "Scout" class rifles!

Lightweights definitely need a buff. Always seem to be one bullet off on their TTK and people have time to run away.

I agree. I used the Multi-Tool in Iron Banner this week and got destroyed. There is really no place for scouts right now. I am forced to use auto rifles to compete.

They definitely need to be closer to hand cannon damage like they were D1. All scouts are pretty much trash, but higher RPMs can dish out their trash damage faster, which gives the illusion that they are good. Since Bungie seems to be refusing to buff them at all, they might as well remove them from the game. I don't need Scouts diluting the loot pool if it's never getting an use.
