Would I EVER masterwork a weapon again Bungie? Why? I won't. Sunset. Stupid. Been a playing, PAYING customer (Guardian) since D1, Day 1. Bought a lot from Eververse. "Play the way you want" is a BS phrase from you. Sunset my fav stuff and I'm free to play all day. Nuff Said.

Edited by Bumblebee793: 5/29/2020 3:14:18 PMMasterworking a weapon is easy sauce, if i play on all 3 characters I can masterwork a weapon a day no sweat, It only costs like 18 cores. Its masterworking armor that is a pain. It takes about 160 enhancement cores to masterwork one non-exotic armor piece. That is an insane amount. The armor will get sunset before i have the chance to masterwork an entire armor set. They need to reduce masterworking costs or decrease the rarity of enhancement prism and ascendant shards.

Weapons are easy to masterwork, armor is not.

Even though sunsetting is bad, Funny story: Remember that Centurion Oryx took right after you landed on the Dreadnaught, then the Centurion and the taken Ogre tried to stop you from killing the King? Heh... didn't work. So the Centurion's bond brothers are pretty angry they lost their commander. They're leading a team to blow up the Dreadnaught's core. Core goes... most of the system goes with it. You're going to make sure that doesn't happen.

I’m more bothered by the armour sunsetting. It’s taken me so long to get a semi decent fully masterworked set of armour. (I play solo). Now it’ll be really hard to run fun mods, bc I won’t have the materials to masterwork armour bc they don’t want me to wear the cool armour I’ve collect for the different builds I like to run. :( Sad times have befallen, but they’ve been around a while.

If anything, it’s just for the effect of making orbs. I’m selectively with what I like (and I’ll never masterwork armor) and after a time, you play enough and accumulate resources. Best way to win this meta game is not to play at all. Just make orbs if ya wanna or rely on those exotic catalysts

They did the same thing in d1 and there was not this much backlash it shows how far we’ve come. Also they’re are not taking them away they’re just trying to get use to try out new weapons we never have before. Maybe they’ll be a weapon in the spotlight in a future season that you might like but have never used before. And sunsetting only effects light enable activities you can still use them and you still have like the rest of the year for the 70% of the weapons you own -
Bungie isn't destroying your weapons, their limiting the infuse power to introduce new weapons and armor, isn't this what you want, you know, NEW CONTENT!
-
HAHA! You believed us? After that time we nerfed Titan melee because we saw people using it more for a movement aid and we can't have you playing in ways we don't like! Our metrics tell us everything we need to know!
-
People really act like they got something taken away they paid for. You didn't got anything taken away you paid for.
-
I knew better not to because this company did it so players would spend a lot of time on it. It's called a time-waster, and there are way too many in this game.
-
You have a year to use it pal, a full -blam!-ing year

Tbh I have lime 250 something enhancement cores. For me it’s not costly but I used to be there as well. I get it.

How about: You masterwork your seventh seraph carbine You get to use that carbine in everything for an entire year A WHOLE YEAR And then, after that year, you get to use it in EVERYTHING that’s been released up until that point, as well as comp and crucible and gambit

If you don't want to do it, then don't. D1 day 1 player myself, and dragging out a 6 year old quote from a company thats been through alot since then is just not a good argument.

Edited by Aborted Enigma: 5/28/2020 2:29:42 PMIf u want a gun to make orbs then u masterwork it. Also I’ve been a “paying customer since day 1 of D1 bla bla bla” and u sound like a crying child. Lol

Edited by kellygreen45: 5/28/2020 5:01:01 PM1. To get the maximum power from a perfectly rolled piece of weapon/ armor. 2. Orb generation. 3. You basically get an additional perk. So its a significant power upgrade...and should represent a significant time investment. But in my case its just not worth going into content that I don't enjoy playing to get it. The time isn't the issue.
