Bring back cabal legions
The red legion is dead
Reduced to atoms!
All that remains are Val's and Bracuses desperately clawing for soldiers and territory. The red legion has failed for the first and last time in their GLORIOUS history, not even Caiatl the Princess imperial could reforge such lowly brutes (despite that fact that's probably EXACTLY what's gonna happen somehow smh)
What the Cabal need now are new legions, each specializing in different tasks. WE HAD THIS BACK IN D1! All we need is different coloured red Legion soldiers and we'll be happy (for the most part)
In all seriousness, enemy sub factions did wonders for the lore. Creating great amounts of depth within enemy races, all stemming off of a different colour pallet
It's probably too late though... Hopefully we'll get sub factions back someday

A race raised on military discipline don't just break rank into splinter factions. There's a chain of command and someone is just going to keep getting punted up the ladder until they run out of people.

8 RepliesYou think the Cabal got it bad? Look at the Fallen. This huge build up in the lore for the Kell of House Kings. This mysterious Kell who had never been even seen by a Guardian, who commanded the most powerful Fallen House, who had the Devils at their beck and call. The Kell of the oldest surviving house, the house that ruled before the great whirlwind. Aaaannd.... He gets killed off. In the lore. Never mentioned again. All because Bungie was too lazy to make a seperate colour pallet for the Fallen. Why waste such a massive amount of potential? Because that's what feckless untcay of a Kotaku writer does.

3 Repliesshouldn't we have killed their race off by now? Unless they have an enormous home world, they're either breeding like crazy, or Bungo thinks it's cool to just throw cabal into every story. The enemy races that make sense to have expendable soldiers are Hive, Vex, Scorn, and Taken, provided something is constantly taking them or maybe they never actually die

YES, I always said that the Cabal of D1 look so much more alien than the Red Legion. I’d argue Red Legion should pull back after this failure with the Almighty to return for a 2nd invasion at a second date under Caiatl. For now, the scouting legions should remain to study what’s about to go down with the Light vs Dark. They should def do it

Even though cabal are cool, Funny story: Remember that Centurion Oryx took right after you landed on the Dreadnaught, then the Centurion and the taken Ogre tried to stop you from killing the King? Heh... didn't work. So the Centurion's bond brothers are pretty angry they lost their commander. They're leading a team to blow up the Dreadnaught's core. Core goes... most of the system goes with it. You're going to make sure that doesn't happen.

Their design was a lot better suited to their style and theming in my opinion. And yeah man, I miss Fallen houses so much. The Fallen house politics was pretty interesting, but now it's just a singular house with the same skin and a poorly fleshed-out power struggle.

2 RepliesTotally agree. And not just with cabal sub factions. Fallen and vex would be nice too. I think we’ll see Devil Splicer sub factions once we have a full fledged Eramis and SIVA dlc one day.

6 RepliesOne of the bright spots for D2 was the introduction of the Scorn. So ummm no. It’s time for new factions. Fallen and Cabal are literally annoying now. The Vex are getting there, but even they were toned down a little.

2 RepliesTo me it seems like there will be 2 Legions. Calus's "Loyalist" and The Daughters "Redacted" now I could See Sub Divisions of the Cabal. But it seems like we Killed the Legions on Mars. And after this Season the only High Ranking Cabal in SOL would be Calus. I could see his daughter challenging him down the line.

6 Replies[below in non brackets will be a list of what I expected when we took out enough red legion leadership where only calus’s daughter was left.] 1: a large portion of troops to link up with calus 2: a segment of the red legion still around under the command of Calus’s daughter, although slightly less organized and generally only holding a few bases vital to the red legions survival 3: A ton of troops should’ve just reformed their own legions separate from the overall cabal, perhaps with each seeing themselves as all that remains of the true cabal empire.
