Im noticing a HUGE problem with trials

before I start I know a lot of you who read this will say something along the lines of "maybe you should get better" or "maybe you should not play trials" but I don't care I would like to get my OPINION out. it is well into the season and I have been on and off of trials and I am noticing a problem I keep getting steamrolled by people with the trials weapons people who have gone flawless many times. I feel as If to play trials I need the trials weapons and play D2 PvP religiously and that is where the disconnect is and a lot of you would say something along the lines of "maybe you just not good at D2 PvP" and to that, I say, I have played D2 from the beginning I enjoyed D1 and I'm a decent PvP player with decent stats and decent weapons so what is it? its the state D2 is in right now with weapons like Jötunn, Mindbender's, Suros regime, Hard light, Devil's Ruin, Truth, Revoker, The summoner, Astral horizon, The scholar, Eye of Sol and armor like OEM, Antaeus Wards, St0mp-EE5, Fr0st-EE5, The Dragon's shadow, and Getaway Artist. I would like Bungie to implement a system that would reward those who tried like at the end of the trials period if you did not go flawless and you have played at least 8-10 games of trials and played each day it was available you would get a piece of trials loot but If you have gone flawless or have seven wins that period you would not be eligible for this. D2 is a great game I will continue to play it and watch it grow there are just a few things that need to be balanced and fixed.

    • Isn’t Trials known to be the sweatiest of the sweaty PvP modes? You may be a “decent” PvP player but let’s be honest, unless you play PvP all day and have developed the reflexes of a vitamin-D deprived couch potato, you’re probably going to lose a lot. I think Bungie discussed something about loot for average Trials players, but we’ll have to wait and see how that turns out.

      • You don’t get trials weapons from going flawless anymore. That only applies to Armor now. You can get weapons at just 3 wins. No flawless needed. Now if you’re talking about ppl farming cards for tokens that’s a different conversation. One that they are aware of and plan on changing it. They’re also changing the reward system. Also you do not need Trials weapons to compete. Galliard and the gnawing hunger are both just as good as the summoner, Revoker is better than Eye of Sol, HL and Suros are top tier exotics that can rival the Summoner. Mindbenders is from a NF Strike. It’s only been out for a over a year. It’s up to you to grind for it. And honestly with the last Shotgun nerf lightweight shotties have the same OHK potential and range as aggressive frames. Excluding AHorizon w/ opening shot But again you can get it at 3 wins if it’s in that slot again. Furthermore you might want to go read the TWAB posted Thursday. They’re going to change the rewards system. Like having weekly bounties that reward the showcase weapon for that week. This has already been discussed and they’re going to put in either next season or with this falls Comet Expansion(more likely).

        • Well sure the auto and shotgun are good, but not OP and there is great weapons, in the same slot, you can use instead if you don't have them. The Hardlight is still great (and maybe better) and is available to everyone and the Dusk Rock Blues is an amazing shotgun that is super easy to farm for.

I found a bug a few in izanami today.riskrunner was flat duddded out.no chain lightning.orb issues.terrible forge

        • D2's PvP arena is a messy arcade-shooter environment that does not support genuine competitive play, so take wins/losses at face value and not deeper investigations of flaws in balance strategies. For goodness sake Trials and Iron Banner have gear score advantages enabled. That really is all that needs to be said about how serious the PvP team at Bungie is about a competitive PvP arena.

        • You're entitled to have an opinion, but that doesn't protect you from having that opinion ridiculed nor does it make your opinion valid.

If you were talking about D1 you’d have an argument. Complaints like yours are why most of the endgame weapons suck now. When you look at it, most of the top tier pvp weapons come from Pve. Suros, hardlight, jotuun, bastion, erentil, Mindbender’s. ALL FROM PVE

You won’t get anything from trials better than Suros, thorn or mindbenders or even spare rations or dire promise...

          • Nothing you mentioned is even close to the problem with trials. I took the liberty to look at your stats, which i was rightfully so given the complaints being made. No trials weapon, aside from summoner is meta currently, and summoner isnt even that special. All 600rpm autos are the same. You quite literally just need to get good at the game and stop complaining (i see your actual setup btw. It cant be anything further from meta)

          • They are supposed to be changing the rewards system in the future so that's its more rewarding to people that have trouble on their cards. As far as getting steamrolled and the weapons people use... You are going to run into that regardless.. It's endgame pvp and will attract endgame people.
