Destiny The Collection DLC Code

Good Afternoon, I purchased a new, unopened copy of Destiny The Collection on 11/3/19 for the DLC. I purchased the base game some time previously (~2017). Being laid-off due to Coronavirus, I gathered a group of players to play this weekend and opened the package today to download applicable software. After entering the code into Playstation Store I was notified the code has expired, AS OF SEPTEMBER 20, 2018. I find myself incredibly frustrated I was allowed to buy a new game, at a premium for DLC content, when said content within had expired BEFORE purchase. Further insulting was the activation code for The Iron Gjallarhorn working fine when it supposedly expired September 20, 2017. I ask what can be done to correct this wrong? With appreciation, Sonic_fingers

  • I would suggest directing your frustrations at the retail store that sold you the expired product, as they knowingly choose to sell an essentially incomplete and defective piece of merchandise. If you poke around online, you’ll find that only certain retail stores still sell those copies of Destiny 1, as most have properly removed the outdated product from their shelves. Activision Blizzard published Destiny 1, and they will not provide new codes for those outdated physical editions. You’ll need to raise hell with the retailer, and demand a refund. As Tuxy has already said, only the platform stores now sell valid digital licenses for Destiny 1.
