It is the 3rd day of my ban and I'm loosing my mind.

alright...so I got banned on the 7th of April, because I was so bored, because of the corona and the fact that I had to stay at home 24/7. Because of that I opened the Programm "CheatEngine" (yes I should have known) and clicked different buttons to see what I can do (without knowing what this program can do). Before I did anything to the game (game was running, because I was waiting for players to join me to do the raid boss(GOS)), the game automatically shut down and after I relaunched it, nothing happend, but in like 10 minutes later, I got kicked out to the title screen and when I hit the space bar to relog, I got the message with "...banned". My plan was never ever to cheat or hack in Destiny 2 or any games where I have a lot of account progress on. I have almost every exotic, many pinnacle weapons and almost 5 titles plus 1000 hours. Each night is like a horror movie to me, where I go crazy with my thoughts, I even dreamed that they would take away my ban and I was so happy in my dream, but of course it's not real so after I woke up I got mad, mostly at my self for my actions that I did. I would have stopped myself if I would have known what was going to happen, but yeah here I am at almost the 4th day depending on time zones. Missing almost a whole week of stuff that I would have loved to complete and not knowing if the support will ever take away my ban. Destiny 1 and now 2 are my main games, because I could play hours without getting bored not like the other games where I sometimes lose interests pretty fast. I know that this post won't make it faster/better for my account to unban, but I would like to know your thoughts about me, my actions and my account. I joined Bungie almost 5 Years and played D1 and D2 since beta and took part in almost every event (I missed only the year of forsaken, because Fortnite was big at the time). I don't know if my account deserve a second chance, but if yes, I will never try to get close to the hacking thing and play the games by the rules of the publisher! I also don't want to beg or anything, but seriously... I don't know what I should do. Yes, I did the ban appeal and I'm waiting everyday for a response and I also know that it takes some business days for them to response, but how much is "some"? Well with that being said, I wish everyone a nice day and think before you do anything. EDIT: It's sad that everyone wants my account to be gone forever. I loved the community, the game and the devs. Now I feel like that everyone wants me to be gone→ from this platform and from this world.

  • You may want to see a psychiatrist if this is getting to you.

  • Your ban is definitely not eligible for appeal. Appeals are for when bans are wrongfully placed. Running CheatEngine is not a wrongful ban. Your only option is to start a new account & get game/dlcs/seasons on the new account & start fresh (without running CheatEngine).

    • If you believe the ban was placed in error, feel free to submit an appeal on this Page. Please read all the info on the page before submitting the form at the bottom. • Since Bans are manually reviewed before being placed, the actual cause of the ban could have been any play session over the past few weeks. • If you received a Weasel error before the ban, this was due to the ban being placed. The game uses the weasel code to remove you from the game world. • Players are responsible for their online account and gaming hardware, and any actions taken in the world of Destiny, and should be careful of who they allow to access their Destiny account. • It is not necessary for a fraud attempt to be successful to get an account lockout. Just trying, whether successful or not, will be punished. • -_- You don't deserve a second chance. You will receive no sympathy or pity on this forum. Not from Bungie or the players. They are under no obligation to respond to this post or your appeal form. If they don't respond more than likely they never will. They make the rules. We have to follow them. Break them and they penalize you. They've had this no tolerance policy since Day 1 of D1. It won't change anytime soon. Intentionally or not your account broke the rules. Ignorance doesn't exempt you from them. Your account is done.

          • Well, if you really were not cheating in Destiny 2, then i'm sorry to say, but it won't matter. you had a cheat ware running while the game is open, and is in the terms of agreement. you gave bungie your permission to scan your device/machine while the game is open, and their anticheat software does not tolerate ANY program used for cheating in any game. I'm sorry, but your ban will not be overturned, and it was not banned by mistake. they personally reviewed the case and deemed it a permanent ban.
