A desperate plea

Weeks ago on the 20th of March, I received a game ban on Destiny 2. The only reason I could imagine why would’ve been the players I teamed with on that previous weekend of trials of Osiris. They very much carried me not once but twice to the lighthouse. A “boosting” is what I believe this to be. At the time, I equated it to skill. Fast snipes, quick call outs, things of that sort. It wasn’t until the path to my second flawless that I became suspicious of them cheating. Movement seemed too snappy on their part. Kills I hadn’t even noticed were made way too fast. And I bear the blame for not reporting them sooner. I chose not to do the third flawless with them. My K/D was suffering and my gut felt sick after a certain point. The carry and that’s very much what it was, a carry, felt undeserved. When I went flawless back in Destiny Rise of Iron, it was a painful and well earned path. This... this wasn’t. And I accept full responsibility for my lack of attention and action against these cheaters. It pains me to lose access to a game I love as much as Destiny 2. And Bungie, if you ever read this, please know that I am willing to give up every trials items I obtained before the ban, to have my account back so I can play again. Including emblems, armor, weapons, k/d, everything. Heavens, I’d rather my account be reverted back to the day before I went on those ruinous trials runs, than to lose everything I spent years working towards. No matter what happens, I will always love and support Bungie. The ban was in their rights to place, as painful as it is to me to lose everything. I’d give anything to have my account back, to play the game I so loved again. I’m not blind to the struggle the community has with cheaters in the game on pc these days. Bungie, I place full faith in you for the days and months to come. This isn’t the first rodeo you guys have been on, and I know you guys will find the solution to the ailments affecting us all ingame. I know my support tickets will be seen one day in the midst of all the others. As hard as it is for me to wait, I still have hope. Just please know, I am willing to make the needed sacrifices to play on my beloved characters again. One day, I’ll see you all starside again. One day.

  • I am willing to provide any and all evidence to prove my innocence of this ban I received. Be it live video feed of my game files, or anything else. I in no way shape or form condone cheating or foul play. And I commend Bungie for taking the actions they have already.
