• Pretty sure there was a general feeling that Destiny was in a good spot during TTK and the end of D1. There have been plenty of high points in Destiny history. This is not one of them.

 • PvP was left in a sidearm meta ( no thanks ). PvE on the other hand....was definitely at it's best. TTK was....deemed successful....only because 20+ mil just walked out the door prior to that. So any sort of retention, or player boost....would be deemed successful. Honestly I would say Forsaken was the best content this game ever released. And I say this only because, RoI wasn't the best PvE because of new content ( although WotM was terrific ), but because all the content was made relevant during this time. Dreaming City was brilliant, and beautiful. I saw it as a definite upgrade compared to the dreadnaught. And Last Wish is prolly the best raid this franchise ever had, with WotM second.

 • I’ll agree Forsaken was also a high point, although it still bugs me not for the lack of quality, but for the how much Bungie could have pushed it. The Dreaming City is probably one of the best environments Bungie has created in a game, but after a couple of weeks playing I started realizing just how EMPTY it really is. Sure, it has the raid and Dungeon and Well, but other than that it’s just a lot of pretty corridors leading through pretty buildings. And cats. Lots to explore but not much to discover.

 • Destiny's high points are only high points in comparison to the rest of destiny. If everyone in class fails the test and 1 person gets a D- He's got the best grade

 • I wouldn't say TTK was a D-. It was a B+/A- imo. The problem is we had to wait an entire year for anything new. And let's face it, RoI wasn't completely new either. My point was as far as I'm concerned, Destiny has never reached its peak. Will it ever? Maybe not. But don't throw tantrums like a toddler about it. Give feedback and move on.

 • Maybe the first couple months. But true to the Destiny Community's reputation, once most people blasted through all the content, these forums were riddled with "I'm so bored" posts. Not to mention the drama of the SRL reveal.

 • Seems like a pretty steady consensus right now these days that it’s not in a great place.

 • Maybe so. What irks me is the people calling for Luke Smith's head. The dude isn't the only one making these decisions, but he's willing to personally take sole responsibility by doing these Director Cuts. Every post I see with Luke Smith in the title, I think of this scene: "Apology accepted, Captain Needa."

 • Haha. Yeah. There’s some fanatics out there. I’ve never understood the hate for one dude when it’s the whole studio that makes the game. I don’t know what Bungie is doing these days it just doesn’t seem like Destiny is a big priority lately.
