Edited by michael: 4/4/2020 12:42:46 AMThe time period before free to play was some of the most fun this game has been honestly. I dont think Bungie were in any sort of desperation scenario to the point that they felt they needed to go free to play to save the game.

It was literally dying from bad reputation and no new incoming players. They pretty much said as much when they went f2p.
